Lynk Former
Well, don't know what else to call it. Oooh, you shake the controller and the character moves. I'll stick with the standard controller. I just wish they'd port Super Smash Bros Brawl to the GameCube. You shake the controller and the character moves? No, you're describing Sixaxis, not the Wiimote and certainly not the Wiimote + Nunchaku. And SSBB supports the GCN controller in the first place, it's been promised by Sakurai because people play Smash Bros competitively. Speaking of Resident Evil 4... I have always wanted to play that game. Always. So now that I have a Wii, all I need is a copy of the the game, a Gamecube Controller, and a Gamecube Memory card. Correct? Yup, you'll need a GCN controller and GCN memory card *nods* Though I was looking at the Wiimote + Nunchaku and the GCN controller today and you know what... even though it's pretty pointless, I wish Capcom would make a remake of RE4 for Wii just so it can use the Wiimote + Nunchaku... all of the buttons fit perfectly and in fact, would give more functionality to the game. Yeah. I think you can play Gamecube games with the Classic controller too, if I'm not mistaken. But I probably am mistaken. Already tried, the Classic controller doesn't work with GCN games... at least not with the current versions of firmware available to us now. MrWally
I WANNA TRY! But, unfortunately... I don't have a Wii
Lynk Former
Rumour has it that 3.5 million Wii's have been sold worldwide so far... waiting for confirmation.
Darth Groovy
Somehow my Wi-Fi adapter got busted. I have not had it that long, and i'm going to try to exchange it tomorrow. I'm going to snag a copy of Resident Evil 4, a GC controller, and a mem card while i'm at it if I can. Always wanted to play that game. Some of you might remember when I was contemplating getting a Gamecube. Any other Gamecube games anybody can recomend?
Lynk Former
Depends what kind of games you like... I can get you a pretty long list but I play a lot of things XD
Darth Groovy
Depends what kind of games you like... I can get you a pretty long list but I play a lot of things XD Mostly shooting and action games, but every once in a while I like puzzle solving, and anything that strays away from the norm. I guess I would say narrow it down to the must-have games that are only available on Gamecube. Right now I can only think of Resident Evil 4, Geist, and Metroid Prime. And don't say Super Smash Bros Melee, because at this time of year you CANNOT find that in local stores.

Some of you might remember when I was contemplating getting a Gamecube. Any other Gamecube games anybody can recomend? Wind Waker Paper Mario RE:4 Viewtiful Joe Timesplitters 2 if you want really fast shooting F Zero if you're into racing Animal Crossing if you like the Sims and of course Super Smash Bros. Melee (look harder ) I still have yet to beat RE:4. I can't play that game for more than 20 minutes at a time; it's so cool and intense. I'm barely halfway through the game and I've had it for like a month, maybe two.
Lynk Former
Don't forget Resident Evil 0 and the remake of Resident Evil. Rogue Squadron 2 and 3 of that Star Wars fix. Definately Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes... get those two before you go out and buy Metroid Prime 3 Corruption when it finally comes out. Killer7 strays away from the norm... though I think a little too far from the norm for you. Definately The Wind Waker, and if you can, find a copy that comes with a copy of the Ocarina of Time bonus disc... I actually have two copies of that disc as well as the Zelda collectors disc lol. Smash Bros Melee if you can, it's best to practice cause once Brawl comes out you won't have to deal with any learning curve that comes with the game, and despite it being a pick up and play game, it still does have a learning curve XD Star Fox Assault if you can get it for cheap, it's a nice arcade shooter. Pikmin and Pikmin 2! Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance!
Mike Windu
It has a huge learning curve if you wanna play competitively :D go learn to play competitively so we can have a huge SSBB brawl network when it comes out!
TiE23
Don't forget Resident Evil 0 Ermmm.... NO. It came with my used GameCube and it sucked, the static backgrounds pissed me off to no end. I only got to the mansion and I gave-up because apparently zombies take point-blank shotgun blasts to the face pretty well, then proceed to deplete 80% of my health. Mike Windu
Just a warning - you will have to protect someone for a lot of the game. At least she doesn't get in the way though. Much..
Lynk Former
Don't worry Groov, by the time you get to that part of the game you'll have already learnt the skills you need to get through the next part... besides, the protecting part was easy XD Conserving ammo, choosing your weapons and upgrades carefully and killing certain creatures are a different matter. Can't be any worse than escorting the queen in The Phantom Menace game... Yeah so far it's pretty cool. I can DEFINITELY see where Gears of War drew most of it's inspiration from. I was dumb enough to get my foot caught in the bear trap AFTER I let the dog go. :
