Henz Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Something a lil different to Muse in fishbowl space helmets hehe. It's based on the works of Magritte, a legendary dutch surrealist painter; "Golcoda" in particular. It's like a modern twist using the myspace angle. It's kind of a self-portrait I guess. It's not specifically supposed to be that but it is based on reference pics that I posed for. I chose Magritte because I'm a fan of the movement, he's a scarily precise painter and I suck at clean paint application. Anyway here it is... (Acrylic on Canvas) Thanks for looking.
Anakin Skywalker Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 WOW! Your just as good as Emalin! And that's sayin something, because she is AWSOME!
CSI Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Nice drawing man. It says something that we can't understand.
Salzella Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 i <3 surreal, so i love this aswell. lovely.
Darth333 Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Funny, before reading your post I said to myself hey, that looks like Magritte but it's not Magritte (when I say "not Magritte" it's not in the bad sense, I just never saw Magritte position his characters like this and the shirt wasn't quite Magritte's style). Good work!
Quanon Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 NIce , very nice . Is that oil-paint or acryl ? Just curious what you use or is it pastell ? Think I'm getting blind :s
Henz Posted February 3, 2007 Author Posted February 3, 2007 ^ And I thought the "(acrylic on canvas)" present in my first post gave it away quite conclusively... Cheers for comments guys
