There isn't a soldier out there, that after coming home or surviving a war, will still tell you that it's great or an honour to have been in it. Great guy, happy go lucky, but I wonder what he'll be like when he comes back. Even though he'll be a gunner in an APC hunting down insurgents (as opposed to marching on foot), I wonder what his experience in Basrah is going to do to him.
