Companies Sued for NOT using DRM

I don't see how Media Rights Technologies can claim any damages. Apple et al. could decide tomorrow they were going to use some other DRM compliant controls and MRT would have not have a case. So what's the difference between using a different control and using no control -- how does using no control suddenly open you up to a lawsuit from one particular control vendor? I would think a lawsuit would have to be brought a party who actually had their copyrights infringed upon due to the lack of DRM.

If anything, it's a helluva marketing strategy.

Imagine how many FREE mentions of their product/company name are being sent out there and reported on thousands of newsites. Not to mention that half of those reading the articles are going to go to this company's website to see "who" they are.. and be it whether to ridicule or support them, their site ads get seen ;)

Google gives me "Results 1 - 10 of about 277,000 for "media rights technologies". (0.34 seconds) "

I can't see how a company would want to do business with a company who is attempting to sue the biggest companies out there over something trivial. Not to mention pretty wasteful. Besides, not like people are rushing out to buy DRM. After all, Microsoft, Apple, ect are doing away with it!
