Fortunately it's still available quite widely for legal download, so at least it's not like Tim's other classics like Grim Fandango which are incredibly difficult to get hold of. Steam is probably the best place to get it, so I'd recommend pointing people towards there if you're wanting someone to play Psychonauts in the future (I've bought stuff off Steam before and it's very easy and streamlined, while GameTap et al seem a bit more complex).
