Metallus Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 It's a DNS/Nameserver issue, and I have been bugging Jake about it. Sorry guys! It will be back as soon as some technical issues are sorted.
itchythesamurai Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Get it together, Metallus! I'm having to suppress my natural urge to update Sam & Max news!
Metallus Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Okay, so, the domain samandmax.net is pointing somewhere now, as some of you might have noticed. Jake was kind enough to put up a mini-site to replace the mini-site that was there before. Basically, I'm still really fuzzy on the details, but I guess that while the files and other viscera of the site are intact, the database--which almost every aspect of the site was tied to--was not transferred over to the new server location for some reason (a billion shifty eyes). That means that I'm going to have to rebuild a lot of what was there from various sources. I have an old backup from last November, and will crawl through google caches and other places to plug the missing posts back in until we're back up to the point where the site was taken offline. Sorry for the lameness, guys, and I promise that things will be revived as soon as they can be. Planning to get started this weekend.
Metallus Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Also, I will begin work on a new site design this month for sure.
itchythesamurai Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Metallus, there's only like a couple of weeks left in this month though! But count me as excited.
Metallus Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Of course, this means I'd need to get access to the site again. Feel free to start a petition and send signatures to tabacco. don't really
itchythesamurai Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Yeah, seriously, no one mess with Tabacco. He's busy foiling Blofeld right now even as we speak. (Acceptable use of in-joke because no one comes here anymore.)
Samnmax221 Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Some new site design would be nice, really I think it would.
itchythesamurai Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Eric, I've missed you! Where have you been?! Your father and I have been very worried, young man!
itchythesamurai Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 You didn't utilize italics so I'll assume it's not the fun kind of night work. Still having meaningful conversations with underwear ladies at least?
Samnmax221 Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 No thankfully I was moved out of softlines and away from my bitch trainer. I talk to blenders now.
itchythesamurai Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 At least the derail wasn't as bad as Derailed. That one made me sad for Clive Owen.
SyntheticGerbil Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 This is awesome, now there is a full guide to everything being released.
itchythesamurai Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Aw, thanks Gerbil! It's people like you who make it all worthwhile.
SyntheticGerbil Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 I wonder if Purcell will include his Toybox comics in the new version of Surfin' the Highway... I know it's a long shot, but you guys should go bother people about it.
itchythesamurai Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I don't know why, but for the last few years I've thought that Dark Horse was owned by Hugh Hefner.
