We are almost at the end of what has proved to be THE most important Chapters in the history of the game. Delivering new content, new skill tree set for the Beast Master and bringing worth back to crafting again - how can the development team top Chapter 6?

 

Chapter 7!

 

So so many new features coming in this chapter, its hard not to get too excited. As this video (from swg.warcy.com) shows, the guys have been busy creating a new race, items and art work.

 

What do you hope Chapter 7 will deliver on, what do you think the dev team need to do to encourage more players back and to stay playing Galaxies?

looks like capes are being put in...funny how there's that option to search for capes on bazaar/vendor search but nobody can make them.

 

they can improve people coming back to the game by instead of the rewards being like credits or experience points, or even looted weapons and armor, they should make one-time use schematics, perhaps an improved E11 rifle schematic that's fit for cl90 players with a decent elemental damage mod, or perhaps various schematics like the bounty hunter missions drop, that would be very cool as well, and since it is crafted, it would be so much better....there's armor that's a waste to get now like acklay armor...cmon who the hell would wear that crap?! the same player that goes out and gets that probably already wears the katarn armor which has way better armor resists!!

 

they should limit the cantinas to x amount of performers at a time, or have the buffs for certain things be better at different cantinas. i'm so sick of going to freaking mos eisley cantina...

 

bring grenade damage dps up!

 

have that GCW tick in all the static cities for players that are special forces. this will bring pvp across the galaxy instead of being confined to restuss or base bust exploiting for gcw.

 

give a reason for me to pay an insane amount of credits to drop a base, put an officer in there that gives out stims or factional weapon/armor powerups. allow turrets to be placed at special forces bases and to only attack/be attacked by special forces of opposing faction. this would make base busting more fun.

 

increase shuttle wait times to 5 minutes, allows for more player interaction.

 

bring back speeder decay, i miss when i'd be racing to the nearest garage to get it fixed. :(

 

give hospitals a use. make it so medics buffs are more powerful or last longer when given inside of a hospital.

 

one thing i find very odd is using that starport transport, and when i land i find it has strangely transformed into a shuttle, how did this happen!? ?? make it so starport transports can only shuttle players between starports, this way the shuttleports get used more.

 

i could probably think of other stuff that needs added/changed but that's all i have for now.

banned weapons:

 

Elemental Damage to crafted weapons. You get rewarded say, random from 1 up to 155 heat, acid, electric, cold elemental additives to weapons. these can be placed onto crafted weapons by a smuggler, lower numbers being most common, 50+ being pretty rare. If player is scanned by npc while weapon is in possession, weapon gets confiscated from player's inventory or if you kill the scanner, 2 cl90 elites spawn/decloak and if they manage to incapacitate or kill you, then the weapon is removed from your inventory. If you escape, maybe i'm pushing this one, a bounty of 1000 credits gets added to your head.

 

banned cybernetic implants!

 

just an idea, maybe a smuggler can create cybernetic implants (kinda like in KotOR) that increase movement speed, increase recovery time of incapacitation, increase creature harvesting, and other innate abilities (ones you don't need to press a special for) it could be like an item you could take to the cybernetic doctor at the different hospitals, perhaps it could be a slot for the head, only invisible so you can't see it, but it will add a buff icon under your name, etc. BUT for each ability you get, there would be something that would be off. for instance you decide to get increased recovery time, well with that you could get -50 agility while cybernetic is installed.

I can't tell what the race is....First look i thought "OMG A NIGHT ELF!!" heh.

Its nice to see them adding capes after its been listed on bazaars since launch. The customizable content and new items is cool, and the fact that beast master is back along with a need for crafters is great. But it's still missing something...I cannot put my finger on it. All i know is that when i logged into galaxies before NGE, i always could think of something to do. I think a good part of this is killed by the lack of the large community we once had. I know there are groups out there, but i really really think they should be looking into either A) free transfers from specified servers to only one choice server or B) a server merge. If SOE is managing to engineer a way to merge the Vanguard servers, and believe me, vanguard has some qualities of galaxies, such as player housing, i think the team could figure something out on Galaxies. I agree with Rogues ideas for the most part. Killing wait times was horrible. As much as i regretted just missing that shuttle to go 5km west, i did meet new people that way. Also the use of Starports to shuttleports is a minor annoyance. I hope they continue to work on it...I would like to see some new combat content as well added here.. Its not like they dont have TONS of planets and space to work with for new areas. The last major dugeon they added was i believe the Death Watch Bunker...any other instances have been added with all of the expansion packs. For now, i will continue to sit back and wait..

There is so much stuff in the cities that is there for no reason. Here are some examples

 

1. med centers - no longer do players get wounds! med centers have no purpose nowadays.

2. garages - no longer do vehicles get damaged! these have no purpose either

3. salons - no longer do you need to be in these to get ID! they have no purpose!

4. Theaters - well these never really had a purpose, yes i know that is where storytellers are, but the theater itself is pointless

5. NPCs - know those random NPCs that give you a short little quest, than in reward give you some little useless piece of junk? POINTLESS
