A1B2C3CAL
I'm new to these games but a friend of mine plays jedi knights outcast and academy. He plays them both in 1st person view and 3rd person. JO has it built into the game and JA he uses a mod. My question is can these two games be played in 1st person and 3rd person views? If not are there any mods or cheats to convert them? i like being able to switch back and forth bnetween 1st and 3rd person views while using the lightsaber and weapons. thank you for any help given. Jeff
The games are only playable in third person view and I don't think mods to make them first person are possible, or at least I have no idea how they would work if they were.
Boba Rhett
The game mechanics of KotOR and TSL are such that they would not be very playable in first person mode.
Diego Varen
To be honest, why would you need first person mode in the KOTOR games? Unlike the Jedi Knight series, the KOTOR series does the fighting for you, once you press the attack you want to use. Also, unless if I'm wrong, you wouldn't need a mod in JA to get first person view, since you can easily edit your options.
Prime
You do, however, have the ability to look through that characters eyes in free-look mode.
A1B2C3CAL
Sorry I was half asleep when posting this... I meant to say he used a mod for 1st person view on JA and on JO he didnt need one because 1st person was included. Anyways, I didn't know that the combat was like lets say guild wars...where you click an attack and then it does the attack for you. Why would I want it in 1st person view? Just because I like to switch back and forth between the 2 views...in JO and JA for me it really makes the game immersive when fighting with a lightsaber in first person view. Thanks for the help, wish it was doable.
PoiuyWired
You do, however, have the ability to look through that characters eyes in free-look mode. Yes, and use Free-Look mode while controling Visas for some extra trippy things.
Sabretooth
Anyways, I didn't know that the combat was like lets say guild wars...where you click an attack and then it does the attack for you. That's traditional RPG stock for you, sir!
PoiuyWired
Yes, and the point and click action rpgs usually involves collecting three parts of a triangle or things like that.
Lord Foley
Yes, and use Free-Look mode while controling Visas for some extra trippy things. + Kreia + Exile in 3rd person I love that power. Rev7
Nope the game is intended for Third -person only. Might not be as fun without it... I think.
