Pie™
Link The author of the best-selling fantasy series The Wheel of Time died yesterday. He was 61 years old, and many fans were still eagerly awaiting the last book in the series. Just thought someone here might be a fan of him, I've never read his books myself. Rogue Nine
The above link doesn't work for me, so here's one from the Beeb. From the way he writes, I always thought he was a woman. Y'know, with like a pen name or something. :S

MrWally
Oh man... I actually read one or two of his books years and years ago. And I've been wanting to get into them but now, knowing that the series will never finish...
Lantzen
RIP His wife will try to finish the last book with notes that Robert had, and he probaly told her alot of his ideas. But it wont be the same. It's sad that he died, but it also sad that he couldent finish his life work, when did the first book came, around 92 ?
