Ascendant_Justice
Oh my goooddddd. I envy those of you who are in the negatives -_-. I love the cold and I love winter weather. Unfortunately, I live in North Carolina (USA) where winters are aggravatingly neutral. It can get fairly cold where I'm at in the "sandhills", but the precipitation never seems to come when the temp. is in the 20s or 30s. Now, a warm front passed through and we've got highs of 60's and even around 70. In the nearly five years I've lived down here, it's only snowed significantly one time. And by significantly I mean maybe half an inch that melted within three hours as temperatures gave way to the 40s.
Rev7
14F with about 8 inches of snow, already today. Freakin' crazy. Weather says another 5-8 inches tonight as well. I love this weather.
jawathehutt
Schools around me have pretty much already accepted its a snowday on friday, my swim meet then has been canceled, all of the schedules are being readjusted in most classes and people have plans made for the very likely to happen long weekend. Rev7
Ya today was a snow day. Where I live, we have gotten 30 inches of snow in the last 24 hours, with more on the way. I was shoveling my driveway for about three hours this morning, and two people on my street get stuck. One hit her trash can and it got wedged inbetween her Ford Explorer and the snow. We finally got it though. She just stayed home because it wasn't worth going out. Same with the Asian man that just moved in on the street. He was trying to go out, with his kids, in a little mini can, 2 wheel drive and get stuck. Took a while to get him out of that mess, but we finally did. He also decided to just stay home. It is windy and it is still snowing! Probably no school tomorrow as well. My city is in an emergancy state, and there are not that many plows, so it will be a while before the roads are plowed. :/ It isn't even winter yet and we have already blasted the record snowfall in 24 hours. It is a snow hell out there.
