Master List of Restoration Resources KOTR I Updated Jan 21, 2008 CG

It is VERY good to see people continuing the restoration work and focusing on specific projects within it, there were some files that were left in the official release of KOTR I that were not used actively and these offer possiblities of enhancing and expanding the game while still keepting to the orignal developers' intent and overall plan. Team JAWA planned some of these and others have independently continued this work, these efforts are detailed here as much as possible, please PM me any corrections or suggestions for inclusion, full or partial restorations of original LucasArts materials only please.

http://team-jawa.kotor2files.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=162&st=0&sk=t&sd=a#p1873

This was an excellent and very Extensive List of Cut Content that was created and updated by Eniena and posted to on the Team JAWA site which gives full details of much that can be restored or that might be restored to a KOTR I ® (restored). We are considering trying to assemble a "master" pack of all current available pure restorations, not mods, and will see if that can be developed to aid players and the community.

So, this is a list of restoration subjects and areas that are possible, some very large which would require major individual teams of their own to complete, and some needing only tweaks and final polishing. This post was created and updated until four months ago by Eniena on the Team Jawa Forum which likewise has not seen new posts other than mine in some time.

I wanted to share this list here as it is very complete and detailed and helps in continuing restoration work. If Team Jawa does choose to continue I hope that they sort out organization and delegation of tasks, or that new efforts coordiate so that the effort goes to the best place.

A large list of cut content. UPDATED 9/10/07 - SPOILERS

by Eniena on Sat Aug 18, 2007 5:52 pm

Being the somewhat avid collector I am, I've compiled and numbered this list of cut content found either by myself or by

others.

All credit goes to... whoever found these pieces of deleted goodness. My memory isn't exactly perfect, though you know who you are... you little cut content finders, you.

Credit also goes to - Dan Loto: For providing information for #36, #37, #55 and #56

Darth Balor: For providing information for #57

Sekan: For providing information for #58

Wolf: For providing extra information for #33

Miltiades: For providing information for #53

In addition, I've also provided links so people can see the content for themselves. However, the majority of the mods I've played are pretty buggy (Shuma the Hutt , Juhani Romance Mod, Bastila And Revan - Untold Love Story and Deadeye Duncan on Manaan.) In some special cases, I've provide links to patches for these mods.

If I come across anymore cut content, I'll update this list so as to keep up to date.

---

#1. The Taris arena fighter Deadeye Duncan survived the events of the planet and would show up on Manaan.

He reveals that he's trying to become a mercenary and is finding it hard to find work due to his reputation. He asks your character if he can use your "Mysterious Stranger" name as a way to fix his reputation.

Deadeye Duncan on Maahan Restoration (Darth33)

http://www.geocities.com/d333mods/other.html (During Deadeye's dialogue about how he escaped from Taris, no subtitles appear for one of his replies. So, unless you're a really good listener, you're going to have to deal with having no subtitles for one portion of this dialogue. However, there is another reply in which Duncan gives the same reply but with subtitles this time around. Bioware must've forgot to fix this bug in the dialogue file.

Also, he doesn't run off as soon as you've finished speaking with him. This means that you pretty much can exploit the dialogue options to get an infinite number of LS and/or DS points.)

UPDATE: Jan 2008

(K1) Deadeye Duncan on Maahan Restoration (Seamhainn)

http://www.embdena.de/images_beitraege/downloads/Deadeye.rar

Seamhainn Restoration

An alternative mod retoring Deadeye Duncan to Maanan is completed, Seamhainn has done a new mod from scratch for this including a more seamless departure by Duncan at the end so no more exploiting the dialog options for extra points. This new mod is released and completed great work Seamhainn. The official release thread and discussion can be found here:

#2. In order to make the deadline for this game, an alternate ending for dark side females was cut.

The ending took place when Carth comes to the star forge to speak to you one last time. From there you could choose to redeem yourself by killing Bastila and stop her using her battle meditation on the sith forces. However, in doing this, the player and Carth lose precious time in escaping from the star forge and remain on the star forge as republic forces destroy the star forge.

(Alot of fans have voiced their disdain over this ending being cut and I can see why. Just when you think you can end the game with you conquering the universe, you can suddenly find yourself saving it.

Considering there isn't a complete scene of the Star Forge falling to its destruction without the Ebon Hawk escaping it, the best way I can imagine this restored ending giving way to the credits would come right after the scene in which Master Vandar says "but where is the Ebon Hawk and her crew?", Fade to black and... It's over!

Got to love these kind of endings, huh?)

#3. The planet Sleheyron along with its corresponding Star Map, mentioned as the volcanic planet in the Dantooine computer.

Sleheyron Restoration IN PROGRESS

Sithspecter and Team

http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=186244

Yuthura Ban's backstory included Sleheyron in it, in a tribute to the work done on Sleheyron that was cut. This was a Hutt world of smuggling and Hutt crime lords that was drab and dull and industrial, and the developers planned an extensive and complex storyline that involved plots and assasinations and fighting in the notoroius arenas, with teams, and you could intrigue and romance the opposing teams, one of the Hutt lords had a manor that you could infiltrate by various means including a romance with one of the servants met in a cantina. There is an archived thread on the old Biowar archives for the game on the Biowar site that has the lead writer for the game, David Gaider discussing his plans for Sleheyron and how far things had progressed before the planet was cut from the game at this link, thanks Dan Loto for this great info (1-26-08 CG):

#4. An extension of the Taris Swoop Bike quest, in which a second level exists in the Vulkar base and the player has to disguise himself as a Vulkar to infiltrate it.

(The module for this unused portion of the game still exists. However, it's incomplete.)

#5. In the fight with Rulan Prolack (the shape changing alien you're sent to kill for the Genoharadan), he always transforms into Jolee. However it seems he was at one time meant to transform into any one of your NPC's, even your PC.

#6. There was an alternate way into the Sith base on Taris. The junior sith officers you meet in the cantina could later be talked to at the party for a chance to buy a pass card into the base.

#7. As a "reward" for rescuing Shen and Rahasia, the PC had the option to make an... indecent proposal (Shen for female PC, Rahasia for male) shortly before Ahlan and Nurick show up.

http://files.filefront.com/tar08+davslav82dlg/;8363755;;/fileinfo.html (address uncertain 1/20/08)

(This is a modified version of the DLG associated with Davik's female slave. I removed the original dialogue the author made for Mission, due mostly to the fact that I really can't stand new dialogue lines without authentic voiceovers.

In addition, I also added action brackets to a line of dialogue.)

#9. An arguement between a Master and his apprentice on was supposed to take place on Dantooine.

The argument involves an angry student who is angry because his master (who is a Twilek) won't allow him to practice with a lightsaber.

Here's a transcript of the argument itself.

---

Garrum: This is futile master! Why must you keep me back like this? Why can I not learn to fight with a real lightsaber?

Tareelok: Do not underestimate the strength of your Cortosis blade, young padawan.

Garrum: It is not a lightsaber! It is nothing!

Tareelok: And perhaps that is the reason you have not advanced to lightsaber training.

You are too headstrong, too overeager to move on without the knowledge necessary to use what you learn.

A lightsaber is a delicate and subtle weapon. One that can cause great harm to its weilder if not used properly.

I believe we have trained enough for now. Reflect on what you have learned, Padawan. Through learning comes knowledge.

Garrum: There is no ignorance. There is knowledge.

Yes, Master. Thank you.

---

Afterwards, the player could talk to Tareelok and Garrum.

The dialogue takes place in the module entitled "danm13_s.rim"

#10. You could compete in a Pazaak tournament on Manaan.

#11. The Sith patrol you meet in the Undercity was at one time in the sewers (or possibly it was a second patrol) and were much harder to fool (you'd have to show your papers and then pass a persuade check).

#12. A little bit of unused dialogue near the beginning, Carth tells the PC to go back to sleep until their injuries heal.

#13. During your adventures on Manaan, you could partake in a side quest to find out what happened to an Echani mercenary's friends.

#14. More bits of dialogue seem to suggest that Jolee and the PC were meant to fight together in the Shadow Lands before he officially joined your party. Perhaps against the Katarns you see him kill?

#15. After deciding who would rescue you, Carth and Bastila on the Leviaithan, there was supposed to be a quick cutscene where Carth, Bastila, and the PC are shown being taken prisoner by the Sith boarding party.

A sound file associated with this content can be found in "\streamwaves\m40aa\cuts01"

#16. A possibility to buy parts for the Swoop Bike. On the Swoop Track on Tatooine, when the player talks to a racer named Nico, he can still ask Nico where there's a place to buy upgrades for the swoop bike. Bioware forgot to cut this dialogue.

#17. If the player didn't kill Juhani, the Jedi Belaya, from the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine, was supposed to have been captured and kept as a prisoner aboard the Leviathan. She would later discovered to have died in captivity.

#18. As with other team configurations, if Juhani and Canderous were part of the player's team, they were supposed to have dialog with each other. Specifically about the Mandalorian invasion of Cathar.

MOD LINK - http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Dialogue_Pack;81241

(NOTE: Contains alot of original dialogue inserted by the author. If you're a KOTOR purist like I am and prefer voice dialogue, you might not think much of the original dialogue. Though the cut content is worth it.)

#19. An alternate Star Map scenario where the map is located in the maw of a sarlacc. The player must navigate an underground Rakatan temple in order to locate the pit, and then figure out how to get to the map without getting eaten.

[Dan Lotto Update 10-08] : After the interview with David Gaider, we know that it’s not a Rakatan Temple but a dungeon. .

There's a sound file associated with this quest that still exists. It can be found in "\streamwaves\m44aa\wrai06" {DL} And about the sound file…that actually goes in the Rakatan Temple on the Unknown world. It’s not related to the dungeon. They are seperate pieces of content

[K1] Restoration of Shuma the Hutt

Seamhainn

http://www.embdena.de/images_beitra...loads/Shuma.rar

Mod files go in the KOTR Modules Directory

You need to start a new game to encounter Shuma. An alternative way would be to warp to the module, but you should not have visited Dantooine before (from Taris or Unknown World for example). This is an authentic restoration of original Biowar/LucasArts dialogue files for a Hutt business being who was trapped on Dantooine by the war, it is not known if he survived later events. [Posted as Item #60. see below]

#25. Passive Iriaz originally roamed the plains of Dantooine. That's right, other creatures roamed the plains and didn't attack you on sight.

MOD DOWNLOAD - http://team-jawa.kotor2files.com/download.php

BONUS TRIVIA - Not only do the Iriaz appear in Rickard's dialogue, you can get a brief glimpse of one while you're on Taris.

When you're in Davik's estate, enter Calo Nord's room (It's the room with the giant Rancor head on the wall) and look on the walls to the right. Notice the greenish looking alien head with the horns? Congratulations, you have just seen the only appearance of the Iriaz in the official Bioware release of KOTOR.

#26. You could go swoop racing on Kashyyyk, Dantooine and Korriban.

#27. A third area of the Kashyyyk Shadowlands could be accessed.[it is a lower level beneath the second level and some of the areas were created but are mostly empty, with very little content in them].

There are some fun surprises for the player now in this restored additional area of Shadowlands, play and enjoy and congrats to Seamhainn and DarthJebus for more great restoration.

#28. Apparently it was possible that Revan could discover a datapad written by Elassa to her Sith Master shortly before her death, inside the Sith Embassy. In it she says that she doesn't believe Sunry knew anything of value, and actually intended to murder him on the very same night the jilted Sunry killed her. Ironically, while Sunry had killed her in cold blood, he had unknowingly prevented his own death at the same time.

#29. Bastila was originally allowed to accompany you during your trip to Korriban. This is evidenced by dialogue and voices that still exist in the game files. [A restoration of these would be a nice project for someone, possibly using a recrutable mod as a kernel for a restored Bastilla using her animations and rote responses to put her back in for this section, and then she could return to the ship before entering the Temple Ed. CG]

#30. Juhani had some dialogue after you escape from the Leviathan.

(NOTE: Contains some original Biowar/LA dialog and adds some mod author dialog, so this is NOT pure Restored Content. If you're a KOTOR purist like I am and prefer voice dialogue, you might not think much of the new created dialogue. Though the cut content is worth it. [Enanni note])

#31. It appears as though nearly every one of your NPC teammates had something to say after you find the Star Map in Naga Shadow's tomb. However, as we all know, only your character is allowed to enter Naga Shadow's tomb.

#32. Although a majority of the cut content was during gameplay, Bioware either forgot or cut out a small number of CGI movies.

NEW RESTORSTIONS: by Zybl2

http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/New_BIK_Movies_Restoration;95382

Upon looking at the list of movies on my Xbox version of KOTOR, I decided to write down a small list of the movies in question.

Filenames corrispond to names of movies you find in the "movies" directory of your KOTOR game directory.

05_1c - The Ebon Hawk Escapes Taris (Although this cutscene is in the game, Bioware apparently forgot to add in the appropriate data in order for it to become availible in the "Movies" menu once you see in during the game. This is a dramatic sequence in which you escape from the city and you see the bombardment and destruction of Taris, very well done)

05_9 - The Ebon Hawk Enters The Battle Near The Star Forge (Set before the ingame cutscene in which you contact Admiral Dodona, this small yet very well done cutscene for some reason never appears in the game. It would've made quite a nice little introduction to the Admiral Dodona scene.) [Ed Note: CG: this would be a very nice restoration for some skilled coder from the community to restore and insert this vid back in the game.]

07_3 - The Ebon Hawk Escapes The Sith Marauders - Variation 1 (Apparently, if you survived the random space ambuses long enough, this scene would've played. I've played the minigame a hundred times and have never been able to get this cutscene.)

07_4 - The Ebon Hawk Escapes The Sith Marauders - Variation 1a (The same as the movie above, but in a reversed camera shot.)

56b - Ebon Hawk Escapes Destruction Of The Star Forge (Although this cutscene is in the game, Bioware apparently forgot to add in the appropriate data in order for it to become availible in the "Movies" menu once you see in during the game.)

RESTORED: BToaster Feb 2008

Thanks to BToaster, this has now been restored, and these cutscenes will play, here is the link for the mod restoration:

MOD LINK: http://toasting.machine.free.fr/kotor/k1mr-1.1.zip

BToaster:

"I managed to create a mod that corrects those issues. You can find it here. (That's my first mod! )

It appears that 07_3 was originally meant to be played during the escape from Taris as an introduction to the encounter with the sith Marauders, and 07_4 during the Unknown World approach."

#33 (Thanks to Wolf for providing extra information). After purchasing HK-47 on Tattooine and talking to Yuka Luka again, HK-47 will ask whether or not you'll allow him to fufill his life long dream of killing Yuka. Unfortunatley, you're forced to deny HK-47 this.

Upon further examination of the replies you can select for his request, it feels as though Bioware might've made it possible to allow HK-47 to kill Yuka Luka and put you in combat with the droid merchant.

Further examination of the shop reveals a large amount of inactive droids. It's possible that, if attacked, the droids activated in order to protect Yuka. This means that not only did you get dark side points, but a chance at gaining some extra XP as well.

Darth333 released a mod a while back that not only enables the option, it also featured HK-47 voiceovers I have never heard in any of my playthroughs of KOTOR. This may very well mean that Bioware did indeed remove the option to kill Luka.

I can also see their reasons behind the deletion. After all, there aren't many merchants in KOTOR that deal in goods mean't for droids.

[Correction Jan 2008: From Darth333: FYI Bioware didn't delete that option. The Yuka Laka mod is not restored content: it was my idea (and my first kotor mod ). I made the voice overs from cutting/pasting/editing other in game sound files.]

Davik Kang's second hanger. It could just be eye candy but it looks like Calo Nord's possible ship on the map. It looks like his room could of had a door to his ship.

And also Davik says "Make it quick, Calo. The Sith mean business. If we don't get to our ships and find somewhere safe, the bombs they're dropping will kill us all." Not to mention that Davik and Calo come running from out of nowhere a.k.a. the wall seperating the two hangers. But I think that it could just be nothing.[unverified at this point, being researched 1/20/08]

#37 Lower Taris City Content

[K1]Taris Lower City Restoration

Dan Lotto

RESTORED

http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Taris_Undercity_and_Gamorrean_Stronghold_Restoration;95114

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a fairly small mod made to restore the cut content in the Lower City. On the list of cut content this was number 37. I won't restore the swoop droid which was cut because someone else is doing that but the things that I will/will-not are:

1-A cut Black Vulkar Rodian who attacks you if you talk to him-have

2-Cut Hidden Bek gang members-have

3-Cut pedestrians-I added the ones that make sense for the area. Some of the people talk like they're in the cantina/swoop track so it wouldn't make sence for the area.

4-Three cut "swoop platforms"-I added people walking randomly on the platform South of the elevator to the Undercity. I added a Bek vs Vulkar battle on the platform North of the Vulkar base and a Sith vs. Vulkar battle on the platform South of the base.-have

MOD FORUM TOPIC:

http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=186181

Description of Cut Content

(Provided by Dan Loto).

By looking at Tar_m03aa_S in kotor tool it looks like there's a lot of dialog in the lower city that wasn't used.

If you look at some of the dialog for Tar_m03aa (Taris Lower City) it looks like that the swoop track was originally accessible from there. An example would be in this piece of a Sith Troopers dialog.

"This area is off limits because of the riot after the last race! You Tarisians couldn't handle crowd control, so we're shutting down the swoop track. Just move along!"

And a janitor.

"Gotta sweep and clean. Gotta have this place sparkly-shiny for when the crowds show up."

There's a bit more but those lines some it up. I think if there was an entrance to the swoop track it would be somewhere between the elevator to the Undercity and the door to the apartment circle where the short scene with Canderous happens.

One final thing are two dialog files which say "Trigger for bek base is to the left, beside this terminal." and "3ab to the left, 3ad to the right" The second one sounds like module names for the two apartment complexes in the Lower City.

#38. One of the more interesting subplots of KOTOR involves your character's relationship with Juhani.

There are files for this dialogue still exists in Juhani's dialogue file. We do not know what Biowar/LA intended for them.

MOD LINKS - http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Juhani_Romance_Mod;61573

(NOTE: Contains alot of new dialogue inserted by the mod author. If you're a KOTOR purist like I am and prefer voice dialogue, you might not think much of the original dialogue. Though the cut content is worth it.)

#39. Considering the fact that this is an RPG game, one of the ideas Bioware must've have been toying with was how many times players could level up. Even I was a little dissapointed that you could only reach a level 20 with your character before you could no longer level up.

#40. Shortly after you learn that Juhani's last home planet was Taris, you could talk to her again to learn about how the prejudice and racism of other people affected her life on Taris.

#41. In an early build of KOTOR, Uthar Wynn looked completely different. He resembled one of the sith who usually attack you during your travels. Thankfully, Bioware decided to give him a unique look and thus the bald tattooed Uthar we've all come to know and love replaced this look.

Also, it appears as though some rooms in the sith academy on Korriban were removed. The doors next to some of the hallways actually opened and you could access new rooms.

Thought it was strange you could only get into the library during KOTOR 2? Well, it appears Bioware had plans to include a library at the academy in KOTOR.

I've provided a picture that shows evidence of these pieces of cut content.

#42 - In early builds, you could actually talk to a bith. You know the aliens who played the famous cantina music from "A New Hope"? Those were biths.

You could talk to the bith in question on Korriban. Apparently, the bith provided information on the academy and how to get in.

#43. Originally, if you had been doing the Carth romance sidequest, a dialogue with Carth revealed he was much more devastated with your character being Revan than he was in the final version of the game.

MOD LINK - http://www.cjt0202.net/carth_romance.php (Files to unlock this conversation are located in the "bonus" folder within the archive.)

#44. During the development of this game, Bioware inserted a robot character that performed multiple things like adding members to your party, checking variables and changing the planet you were on.

Obviously, this piece of content was used only for development purposes and was (obviously) removed from the final version of the game.

Kind've makes me wish I could have such an unfair yet satisfying edge with my copy of Dynasty Warriors 4.

#45. Early versions of the story included a subplot involving clones. Unfortunately, Lucasfilms ordered that this part of the story be cut in order to avoid giving away possible spoilers for "Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones".

#46. A Czerka depot could've been found on Korriban along with a quest involving the president of Czerka operations on Korriban. {There was evidently quite a bit of Czerka content originally planned for Korriban}

If you wanted another chance to fight Czerka's corruption on the galaxy, this might've been your chance... until Bioware cut it from the game

#47. Taris Swoop Droid Teleporter

A sound file exists that involves Carth teaching you how to use a droid that was supposed to allow you transit between the Taris City levels.

The sound file can be found in "\streamwaves\m40ad\swoo02".

RESTORING:

In Progress 02/13/08

#48. Juhani had additional comments about Revan.

#49. (RESTORED) Sharina Fizzark, the woman who tries to sell you the great wraid plate on Tatooine, can later be found on

Dantooine building a new life. A dialogue tree exists in which she thanks your character for what her/she did for her.

In addition, her voiced dialogue can be found in "streamwaves\m13aa\zzsh24".

This completed Restoration by Sekan can be found here: (notice of this is thanks to Aeorwars617 1/6/08)

#50. Apparently you had to do some extra work if you wanted to enter the burial mound on Dantooine as evidenced by a sound file of Bastila talking about how to open it.

The sound file can be found in "\streamwaves\m13aa\bast01".

#51. Your character at one point in the game could threaten or ask a sith commander to help you.

Sounds can found in "streamwaves\m40ab\injo08".

{Dan Lotto Update: 10-08> This Takes place on the Leviathan}

#52. At one point, you encounter an injured dark apprentice.

Voices associated with this can be found in "streamwaves\m44aa\injs03".

{Dan Lotto Update: 10-08> This takes place in the Rakitan Temple on the Unkown World.

#53 (Thanks goes to Militades for providing information). The player could go back to Dantooine after escaping the Leviathan.

The player could fight the sith occupying the destroyed enclave and look for survivors.

{Dan Lotto found these sources that apply to this cut episode:

2-Dantooine Soldier.

http://www.gamershell.com/pc/star_wa....html?id=40849

http://www.gamershell.com/pc/star_wa....html?id=40844

3-Sith on Dantooine (After Leviathan?)

http://www.gamershell.com/pc/star_wa....html?id=40846

#54. Due to a small glitch in a dialogue file Bioware forgot to fix, conversation between Juhani and Canderous that takes place on Kashyyyk is never heard in the final version of the game

If you have KOTOR Tool, you should be able to remedy this.

INSTRUCTIONS

Just open RIMs/Modules/kas_m22aa_s.rim and find 22aa_zaalb02_01.dlg under dialog. Just move Juhani’s branch below Canderous’ and save the file to your override folder

#55 (Provided by Dan Loto) - Komad Furtuna (the Twi'lek hunter on Tatooine) had a lot of cut dialog.

Appearantly the mines that he plants to kill the Krayt Dragon are effective in weakening it to the point it can be attacked.

You had the option of helping him fight it or just standing back and letting him do his own dirty work... for once.

#56 (Provided by Dan Loto) - Some jawa NPCs were apparently cut from tat_m18aa.

#57 (Provided by Darth Balor) - Beleya's UTC file has scripts which show that Beleya originally could become a member of your party.

#58 (Provided by Sekan) - A lightsaber crystal called Wookie amulet was cut from the game as evidence by it's template and other information found in upgrade.2da

The Template has the name "kas25_wookcrysta" which means you originally found it in the upper Shadowlands (the name of the upper shadowlands rim file is m25aa).

UPDATE: from Sekan (1-27-08) There is a mod that puts this crystal back in the game made by Cate Croft and the mod can be found on her website here along with a description of what the PC needs to do to get the crystal with her mod:

Original Restoration List by Eniena Team JAWA site

http://team-jawa.kotor2files.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=162&st=0&sk=t&sd=a#p1873

This is a link to an excellent and very Extensive List of Cut Content that was created and updated by Eniena and posted to on the Team JAWA site which gives full details of much that can be restored or that might be restored to a KOTR I ® (restored). We are considering trying to assemble a "master" pack of all current available pure restorations, not mods, and will see if that can be developed to aid players and the community.

# 59. [K1] Garrum and Tar'eelok Restoration

Main Mod file:

http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Garrum_and_Tareelok_Restoration;85948

(goes in modules directory)

Important Dialogue File:

http://files.filefront.com/dan13+cortzip/;9472225;/fileinfo.html

(goes in Override directory)

Athor: Sekan and Seamhainn

DESCRIPTION: This mod restores two jedi knights on dantooine: Garrum and Tar'eelok. They where supposed to have a discusion about why Garrum can't train with a lightsaber. Later on you could ask Tar'eelok about the Jedi and much more.

Important: They will spawn in the training room after [main PC has ] talked to the concil the first time.

Important2: This mod uses Shuma the hutt restoration so the mods won't conflict. So if you see a hutt on Dantooie don't panic.

#60. [K1] Restoration of Shuma the Hutt

Seamhainn

http://www.embdena.de/images_beitraege/downloads/Shuma.rar

Mod files go in the KOTR Modules Directory

You need to start a new game to encounter Shuma. An alternative way would be to warp to the module, but you should not have visited Dantooine before (from Taris or Unknown World for example). This is an authentic restoration of original Biowar/LucasArts dialogue files for a Hutt business being who was trapped on Dantooine by the war, it is not known if he survived later events.

#61. (K1) Restoration of Lower Level of Black Vulkar Base

Seamhainn and DarthJebus

http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Restoration_of_the_Black_Vulkar_Base;85770x#1460325

Mod restores the third lower level of the Black Vulkar Base including NPC's and dialogue, using original files and keeping as much as possible to the intent of Biowar and LucasArts. You must start a new game or warp into this area to see the restored material. Seamhainn created this mod and then with the help of DarthJebus they added english in game content labels to the doors and other tweaks.

I know the module and .dlg file - it's just that I don't know what you mean by:

Just move Juhani’s branch below Canderous’ and save the file to your override folder[/Quote]As you can see from the original file in KoTOR Tool, Juhani has a joint convo with Canderous already. She also has a separate set of dialogue if you (I think) choose her by her lonesome: dlgvp5.jpg

I've starting working on this since no-one seems to want to do it.

I'm mostly doing it for practice but it's 30%~ done right now. :)

I can see why they would cut it though...

I might as well say that i'm 65% done. If anyone can think of some dialog for NPCs then PM me. :)

Lactose, I am sorry I can't help more with that question as I only have the info from the original source which was Eniena's list but I will try to get in touch and find out more. Also please anyone reading this who might know pls let us know. thanks.

Can you tell me what it is? I'd like to help if you don't mind.

The Gamorrean Stronghold. I guess it didn't quote the quote.

Where exactly is this stronghold situated? And what is its purpose in the game?

The purpose is currently...lacking. I think that's why they cut it out. I used the unused door in the Undercity to warp to another module which reuses the undercity module. You appear in front of the would-be elevator in the "Gamorrean Village." I locked the gate so that the only way to leave the village is to go back to the Undercity. I have the Dialog for the Chief of the village already made. I have references to the Sewer dwellers and other outcast village as well as the Gangs and Sith.

I'm considering making a small "quest" where you go to look for a team of the Chief's Boars who were killed by Vulkars, but beyond that and an axe store, it's pretty pointless.

Do you have a .mod by chance?

I think when the player goes to the undercity, the developers original thought may have been to have a more complex storyline for you to experience there, so the restoration of this area may indeed have restoration merit. It might work to add some of the ghouls and perhaps some items and even possibly another crashed pod? That one republic officer was shortlived in my first play through and it might be nice to have another to meet....just a thought. It will be good to meet another Chief, sounds good what you are doing. Great to see this work expanding. :)

This mod sounds like it would be really interesting once its released. I have an idea for a storyline or at least a side quest where the chief tells you that his lot are at war with the slavers and thanks you for killing their boss. Then he asks you to mop up any that are left alive, or maybe rescue some from the Vulkar base. No? O well, I tried.

KI Restoration Mods Possible K1RP Pack List

Updated Jan 27, 2008 CG

That would be great, I have been updating this list for just such a possiblity, a Pack that would include all the restoration mods currently available. I was not sure who had the skills to make the pack but hopefully they will appear as things progress. I have found the following so far which appear to be entirely or mainly restoration mods that couild possibly be combined in a K1RP Pack of mods and resources, pls post any corrections, suggestions or additional info.

It is possible that a combined pack of mods that are purely restoration might be the main package and other add ons that enhance the game but are close to or idential in quality and features, such as fully spoken dialogue, and subtitles, and full game features might be gathered along with other mod resources for future restoration work.
