More than likely LucasArts would petition a "cease and desist" to those involved with the game's creation, not unlike how Square-Enix put the kibosh on the fanmade "Chrono Resurrection." However, if the game continued with it's progress then by all measn LucasArts would surely sue

I think you are vastly underestimating the effort involved with writing a full plot for an RPG.

Yeah, that's why I said to not charge for it. But even then, LA can shot this pretty quick as SE did with this Chrono remake.
