jonathan7
Hey, It seems ambiguous, but does anyone have any theories as to who trained the Exile? A friendship was hinted at between Kavar and the Exile, but I didn't pick up on anything more than that. Thoughts?
JCarter426
It's specifically stated that Kavar was not the Exile's matter, though he did consider taking her as her padawan (but he felt his duty to the Council was more important). Other than that, we don't know. Could be just about anyone. Well, almost anyone; it definitely wasn't any of the masters in K2, or we would have heard about it ingame. And it probably wasn't Zhar, judging from the way Kreia talks about him (if he were her master, the Exile probably would have said something). My guess is that we haven't seen the Exile's master in either game. I bet they were one of the first Jedi to go off and fight the Mandalorians (and the Exile followed), but that's just speculation on my part. Interesting, where is that stated? I ask purely for modding reasons, as am considering making Nemo, the Exile's former master.
Lord Foley
Would this mod consist of quest in which you must... Find Nemo?
Igos
Interesting, where is that stated? Kavar: "You always had deep connections to the Force. I am glad to see that it is once again your ally. When I first sparred with you during your training as a Padawan, I could tell that you were different. And it wasn't just your strong connection to the Force. The difficulties you surmounted to get here. You must have many questions. You deserve answers. That sounds like the bond that often forms between Master and apprentice. But to that degree... ?You always did form connections to others, strong ones, even when you were a student. But what you are describing is beyond me.I'm sure others in the Jedi Council would be able to assist you. If you could find them.So you heard what we said? These questions I cannot answer. This is something the Council must answer, not I.You must understand . This is hard for me, especially after all you've done. But it is necessary. Did you know that when I was training you I considered making you my Padawan? I didn't. The demands of the Jedi Council were too great." Conversation with Kavar on Onderon (LS only iirc) On topic: It's hard to even make a guess as to who the exile master could be, considering there's basically no information. I'd venture to say that he was one of the masters that went to fought the mandalorians (That could explain the exile's rebelious attitude), and died at Malachor V. Perhaps, I personally liked Nemo, he had that kind of Qui-Gon vibe.
JCarter426
...and died at Malachor V. Hmm...now that is interesting. I've heard some speculation that Nihilus may have been Exile's master (before he became Nihilus). I think it's possible, but not likely.
Lord Foley
Not hard to venture that guess, as basically EVERYONE died at Malachor V.
JCarter426
Well, I was thinking that the Exile's master might have been killed earlier, or survived Malachor and followed Revan.
Lord Foley
Wasn't it Jediphile's idea that Nihilus was the Exile's master? I recall liking the theory.
JCarter426
I don't remember if Jediphile specifically said Nihilus was the Exile's master, but someone close to the Exile (in order to explain their connection before Malachor), but yes, that's it. Though I've heard it from others as well (kind of like the whole Kreia/Kae issue, I guess).
Gurges-Ahter
It's an interesting theory - is there a chain on here somewhere with Jediphile's theory?

Gurges-Ahter
Thanks! I have already read that one actually. I thought the gist of it was that Nihilus was splintered off from the Exile's soul - not that he was the Exile's former master. Perhaps I misinterpreted it. JCarter426
The theory is that the body of the master died, but the Force potential of the Exile inhabited it, becoming Nihilus. The reason it fled there was because of her bond with her master. Like I said, it's possible. Not sure if that's what happened, though.
