Recruitable Revan

Yeah, I don't think theres been another mod like this, so I'm gonna take a crack at it. This one is gonna include some crazy scripting halp, so I'm gonna need a lot of help. Right now, theres gonna be 4 utcs. Heres my plan:

Start the Recruit [X]

Follow Darth333's Tut on making a character be recruited. []

Make Dialog []

Add Extra Stuff []

Release []

Make patches for bugs and stuff []

Wait for SS to make Cape and Belt for TSL []

Ask for use of mod in mine. []

Release again []

EDIT: There is one thing I need help with. I need someone to make a custom saber hilt for this recruit. The details I will send to you over PM, but I do want a Long Saber.

hmm this wouldn't make sense at all. one thing you don't have to worry about is people hounding you for voice overs since even in the cutscene where he talks to carth near the end of KOTOR1 he doesn't have a voice XD i notice little things like that.

Would this be a TSL mod considering you technically are Revan in KOTOR?

Anyways, I'm almost done with one of the utcs. By the end of the day, all the utcs will be done.

 

EDIT: Ok, I'm trying to edit the appearance.2da file so that Revan's head and body are locked, but the tutorial made by Redhawk says to find the Value and bitflag(?) columns, but I can't find them. Is there another way to do it?

NOBODY will download this mod unless............................................ you make some special force powers for Revan :xp:.

You can ask Stoffe for some FP he has integrated in the CSA version of Revan...

But SERIOUSLY!!! A big Darth with no special Force Powers??? And you can ask Revan- if enough influence (if that's possible)- to learn you those cool force powers...

And to make the game have sense, Revan should be recruited on Korriban ONLY if Korriban is the last planet Exile visits- well actually not last, cauze you should go to finish business on Dxun (Freedon Nadds tomb) and Onderon (the Civil War). But, there might be some problems. You know, you really need to make the rest of the party- especially Kreia- interact with Revan in the Ebon Hawk...

If I were Atton and if I was aboard of a ship with Revan, I would ask him a question every minute...

And then again, you should make the mod compatible with TSLRP, and you should do the mod, so the alter endings in TSLRP would match the fact that Revan is a party member and at Malachor...

Very hard project...

Yes, but I do not think this will be compatible with the TSLRP for the sole reason that its replacing an NPC in your party. The only way for it to be TSLRP compatible would be to make Revan a puppet of someone (Kreia would make the most sense)

As for the force power, I plan to put in some kind of force power in on a later release date (Like in a patch) for Revan. And I do plan to have the party speak with Revan every once in a while...

So one more thing!!! Why thxTG is calling you Bios? Are you BiosHazard from Kotor files? <--n00b question!!!

Use the last column, all the way to the right (equipslotslocked) with a value of 3.

You might want to consider Swapping Krea for Reven, and Make Krea a party Puppet for him. Which you can kill. Because we all hate krea.

 

If we're talking about people we hate, he should replace G0-T0 :p

 

On-Topic: I noticed you're making custom dialog too. Will it be VO'd? Because if it is, you'd need a male and female VO because @ the beginning of the game, you can choose whether or not to make Revan male/female...

I'm keeping an eye on this.

 

If you replace someone like Goto, you have to allow the dialog above Nar-Shaddaa to stay. Any physical replacements for Kreia 5 times out of ten will be removed in the battle with Sion. Your best bet for Kreia would be on Telos maybe. Remove Kreia and put Revan in her place then.

I am not replacing Kreia, as she is too integrated into the plot. I'm not experienced enough to replace her :xp:

Anyways, thx Zero, and I can continue the mod. The nature of the mod will be to ellimenate the dialog Mira/Hanharr says about GOTO (and anyone else, particularly HK) and making a script that'll make Korriban the second planet you visit. Maybe third...

I'm sorry, but no. Unless I can get someone to do it for me at another site, then, under those circumstances, yes.

O. I thought they sounded similar :)

Anyways, I'm trying to decompile some scripts I made so I can double check my work. I set the file to open the .ncs as DeNCS, but it said it couldn't find the nwnnsscomp.exe, but it was where I specified it, so I couldn't open DeNCS. So I set the opener as nwnnsscomp but less then a second after I execute the operation, it closes out. What is the problem?

ohhhhhhhhhh, i have a idea, if possible, once done w/ this, you should make a recrutable male/ female exile for KotOR 1 and you could chose the gender by adding extra dioloug on the Endar Spire

That wouldn't work, as the Exile was wandering, and as I don't have K1, That essentially stops production there :)

 

PROGRESS REPORT:

Thanks to Ferc's new recruit script, I've decided to continue work. I have created dialog. You fight Revan with the talk - fight - talk sequence, and from there, you go on, and you recruit Revan, replacing a certain Astromech Droid.

And, just today, Marius Fett was asked to make a model of a Saber Hilt for me. He should be working on it.

And, I forgot to add something.

Ferc did a little part for the mod, not a generic thing like the script. He made a special portrait. Thx, again, Ferc ^_^
