zelda 41 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Old news indeed, although I found it mildly entertaining, so I decided to share it. Christian Pastor finds something wrong with SpongeBob Squarepants. The website made me lol harder than the 'Mom's against violent video games' site. EDIT: so it is fake? It still made me lol.
Miltiades Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 If that website is not a joke, excuse me, but I think I'll laugh to death. Well, it's funny either way.
zelda 41 Posted September 4, 2008 Author Posted September 4, 2008 It get's better! EDIT: Turns out the site is fake. Oh well, it's a good laugh.
Miltiades Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 With titles as "What Can Christians Do to Help Increase Global Warming?" and "Satan is Using Olympics Volleyball to Get Baptist Boys to Masturbate!", I don't think it could be anything but fake.
Astor Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Landover Baptist is a well-known spoof website. I agree that it does seem in earnest, but it's definately a joke-site. Although, sometimes, they can take things a little too far.
Ctrl Alt Del Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 “As True Christians™, what we find most frightening is that for the most part, the majority of sex organs we’ve found in the cartoon, can only be seen upside down,” continued Dr. Edwards. We played several sound tracks for the show backwards as well, and it’s all demon talk.” True Christians™ know that one of Satan’s favorite ways of communicating to his followers is to do things backwards, and upside down.Yep.
zelda 41 Posted September 4, 2008 Author Posted September 4, 2008 Although, sometimes, they can take things a little too far. The sad thing is, some Christians do go that far.
Astor Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Yep. You should go on their forums, and see their lists of 'Enemies of god'. And to further my point about them being a joke, the town of Freehold, Iowa, doesn't exist. More Info EDIT: The sad thing is, some Christians do go that far.[/Quote] Yes, they can, but I don't think even the most ardent believers could be this outrageous all the time.
