mimartin
What politician wouldn't aspire to be a dictator? George Washington and any other that takes the oath of office. I'm not saying McCain aspire to be a dictator, I just answering Corinthian question.
Corinthian
It's pretty iffy, calling Washington a politician. But even so, I don't see any problem with this. Dumb thing to say, but I don't have any issue with it.
El Sitherino
It's pretty iffy, calling Washington a politician. But even so, I don't see any problem with this. Dumb thing to say, but I don't have any issue with it. And yet it's completely contrary to many things you've stated in the past. I admire your ability to maintain glimmery eyes for a politician that is so unconcerned with your well-being.
Corinthian
Hardly. I've always believed that a benevolent dictatorship is the best form of government.

Da_man
I don't think anyone would vote for the Imperial Commissar with a giant red, pointy hat on his head. But if McCain does turn out to be a dictator, I'm moving to Canada. But I think Obama going to win anyways. If Corintian does become dictator, I think his new title should be "Imperial Commi-tsar". Inyri
If McCain turns oot to be a dictator I don't think you'll be safe in Canada. That's my way of saying McCain is not a dictator, eh.

Tommycat
yeah a misstatement taken out of context... oh well run with it. If we ever get a dictator in the US, I'll be the first one to join up with the resistance movement. See that's how much I love my country. I would rather die then let our country be taken over by a dictatorship.
Corinthian
If you will not serve in combat, you will serve on the firing line. Likewise, Tommycat. The problem with benevolent dictatorships is that power corrupts etc etc. The way I see it, McCain was making a joke that fell flat.
Tommycat
I just assume he does like any other public figures does, and says something he doesn't really mean. Now if he says is in more places than one interview... It's time for me to vote Ron Paul. If Ron scares me enough, Bugs Bunny gets my vote.... Hey he's over 35, born(created) in the USA, and we know he at least served the US I swore to defend the constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. A dictator is an enemy of the constitution. Nedak
It's time for me to vote Ron Paul. If Ron scares me enough, Bugs Bunny gets my vote.... . Then you're giving your vote to McCain. Essentially.
