RedHawke
Hello, Moved your thread from Padawans Lounge and also did a few other things to your other threads there, please only create one thread per topic, also please look around and try to place threads in their respective places (Mod Topics belong in Holowan Labs for example.) If you wish to make your own mods you can search through our tutorial forums the one you should get started with is here; Tutorials: General Tutorials + Tools, there is a thread located therein with links and descriptions of the different tools we use to mod these games. If you desire to simply download and use others mods in your game we have a dedicated forum for mod release threads... here... and a thread with a list of Modders websites... here. If the mod in questions doesn't contain a readme file on how to install it we have a help thread for mod installation... here. Hope this helps. Canderis
BoPC does work with mods, I have it too and it works fine. Only launchers you'd need to worry about because they aren't for the BoPC launcher which opens.
Te Je'karta Mand'alor
thanks. and my sister put copys of all my topics on here... don't know how she logged on to my account. thanks for not being rude about it like everyone else.and, do you have any links to mods i can download? if you do, please don't send me anything that could harm my game... i downloaded a mod for Fable TLC once, and not only did it ruin my save, but it gave my computer a virus... GameGeeks
Everything that's hosted on the following site should be fine since they have to get approved before they're hosted their. So you shouldn't have a problem with things like viruses. http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/files/Knights_of_the_Old_Republic_II/Mods;5555

Star Admiral
Which mods did you install? Every mod alters something different in the game, and we need to know the names of them to help. Since you have K1, check out the stuff here. Installing mods meant for TSL will crash the game. - Star Admiral
GameGeeks
Provided in my post... Technicaly that's your sig. Which mods did you install? Every mod alters something different in the game, and we need to know the names of them to help. Since you have K1, check out the stuff here. Installing mods meant for TSL will crash the game. - Star Admiral Don't forget some mods can be used for both like light saber hilts and ones that say for either like the hard mode mod. Darkkender
For reference you can use custom launchers with the BoPC you just need to know how to change the *.ini file for kotor to point it in the correct direction and you can override the BoPC default. I have it setup with mine and a custom link and launcher to each of the 5 games independently no crashes. However you do need to know what changes to make. If i don't forget i'll post how later. Mandalore_The_Great
there should be instructions on how to install the mod in the readme file that's included in the folder(or .zip, more commonly). Things like new items should just be dropping files into an override folder, which needs to be made in your KOTOR directory. Some mods, like BOS, have install programs, and shouldn't be a problem
RedHawke
Technicaly that's your sig. No links to mods are in my first post in this thread... ok, i'm really confused... i installed the mods, but i can't figure out how to work them. any help? I'm sure you carefully read the aforementioned mods readme files before installing them.... right? First thing you need to do before installing any mod, modders usually include other pertinent info in there as well.
Canderis
If its an item you installed you can use the KSE to edit the items into your inventory.
Te Je'karta Mand'alor
i LOVE kse. it's awsome. and could the mods by any chance effect my saves in a bad way? such as carth calling my male character a beautiful woman? and getting stuck in one part of the game and gaining no xp? Star Admiral
Depends on the mod. Some mods make only small changes, such as reskins, so they will not affect your savegames. Big mods, such as the Brotherhood of Shadow, for example, add so much to the game that they will mess up your saves if you uninstall them later. - Star Admiral
