Figured I'd start a thread to keep people updated on the projects I'm working on, and inform them of new ones.

 

Twi'lek storefront

(AKA Griff's trying to get credits)

Status: Pending/partially assembled

At this time I've got the dialog assembled, the store front partially filled in, and a few of the custom items finished. I've yet to start the spawning scripting, as I have to get my whereami wearing PC to the spot I want him to spawn at.

 

Items the shop will have:

- Voa's arm band in game

- a Dragon Pearl

- two sets of dark sticks; one set a normal bladed weapon the other set being throw able like a lightsaber. The Darkstick models where made by Te Mirdala Mand'alor. Testing saber version

- "Bastila's Lightsaber" Yellow single blade, rigged not to work until after you talk to T3

- Beskad blade, mandalorian iron short sword Done

- Gaffi stick Assembled, needs to be tested

 

I'll include direction on how to tweak the store list so you can add items, such as other modders items you have to cheat in, to the store front.

 

Help request

One thing I would be interested in including is a Gaffi stick, but I can't tell if Ob left that model and skin in the files or not. If any one knows if it is or isn't could you let me know. And if it isn't would any one be interested in modeling and skinning one to be included?

 

Teaching Holocrons

Status: Planning stages

 

Disciple:

Not likely to include him in the recovery efforts. He annoys me.

 

The holocrons :

Dantooine:

Location: Hidden compartment either at the fountain or in the round room to the left of the entrance.

Will teach: Vrook's style/Form to both PC and Part members

 

Nar Shadda:

Location:

Will teach: Zez-Kai Ell's style/Form

 

Telos: (Unsure if I will include this one)

Location: Recovered by Bri after the fight with her sisters?

Will Teach: Will allow you to elevate Visa/other party member to a higher prestige rank

 

Korriban: Will be the Vash's holocron

Location: the caves

Will teach: about Force Bonds. 2 saber styles

 

Dxun/Onderon:

Location: one of the mando caches or Museum/receive from Queen

Will teach: Beast trick (for part members) and Beast control for PC. Kavar's style & form for all members

 

Smaller mods:

The Maiden's blade:

status:Done; Uploaded

the Handmaiden will come with when she joins your party. Story behind it is her father recovered her mothers lightsaber gems after she died and had them set into the blade's hilt and gave it to her. Stats based on the Yusanis' Band double sword in K1, as well as having similar properties as a Kaiburr crystal.

 

Mandalor's weapons pack:

Status: v 1.0 released

- Beskad: Done

- Ordo's repeater: Done

- Teaching dialog: moved to Version 2.0

- Mandalor starting with feat and launcher: done

- Mandalor's wrist launcher: Done

- Kex scripting; adding Beskad to his store inventory: Done

 

I personally love the wrist rockets, but once you train Mira, she stops using them. This tweak will let you have her train Mandalor to use it and give him a launcher of his own.

Also Mandalor will come with a Beskad short sword, and a remake of Ordo's repeater from K1

 

Visa attunes your crystal: (That kind of sounds dirty... :¬: )

Status: Retesting. Helps when file is installed :eyeroll:

You've just finished the last planet, and you've gone up several ranks. Your crystal is no longer attuned to you and the old witch isn't speaking to you any more. Let's go talk to Visa, she'll do it for me! Works just like the Kreia dialog, just with Visa.

 

Droid programing pack, Droid rocket launcher, other droid items

status Version 1.0 posted. Version 2.0 in the works

Items:

- T3 assassin droid programing: Gives T3 HK assassination protocols and enhanced fighting programs. Three levels, Basic, Advanced, Master

- HK self sustaining unit: For a combat droid, it seems HK gets his skid plate kicked a bit to easily. This is identical to the T3 one already in game

- Droid rocket launcher: Like Mira's, just for droids. GoTo comes with it?

- Iron Knight HK

K2: Some dialoging done, upgrade partially assembled, Dissecting the Make Jedi scripting

- Upgrade item/option which will only be available once both the PC and HK are at a selected rank/set level of influence. It will allow you to make HK into a Force user.

 

Before traditionalists scream "You can't do that!" there is precedence in SW canon: The iron Knights.

 

Peragus wrist launcher

Status: in progress

The wrist launcher makes Peragus and Telos so much easier, so this mod tweaks it so the Exile starts out with the wrist rocket skill, and can pick up or build a launcher.

- Still trying to get the Feat change to work

 

Fighting gloves

status Works. Sort of

Just like it sounds. mine blows up, sticks people in place

 

Ideas I'm playing with

 

Light Foils (K1 and K2)

 

Lightfoils are cheep knock offs of lightsabers, and aren't as good. But they do in a pinch. Shouldn't be to hard to build and add in game. thinking they can be used by anyone with level 2 melee

The model isn't in the files, AFAIK; I last checked in 05/06, though, so I could be wrong.

Should be pretty trivial to model and texture a new one if it isn't.

 

EDIT: Appears they left the model and texture for it in the TSL files at any rate - w_gaffi_001. A cursory glance doesn't indicate any UTI file though, but of course that is easily remedied.

Sweet! Thanks for finding it! I knew there wasn't a UTI, but like you said, that's easy to make.

I do ask that for your Holocron mod, you make a version that includes the cut Disciple dialog, so that Mical has a use...

 

I'm still in the planning and pulling together stages on that one, and at the moment I'm not planning on having any tie in with the other characters unless you're training them. I'm also trying to keep the unvoiced lines to a minimum, which means most of the gate keepers will be non-humans and useing the alien sound sets.

Best used in K1 along with Ӄhrizby's HK Melee mod. (Hopefully someone can replicate this for TSL)

Just a heads up, I did do a TSL version. My internet's been troublesome about uploading it to KotORFiles though, so I gave it to Marius Fett for submitting. Should be up any time.
