newbiemodder
I'm making some new placeables from the sith statues from a room model from the tomb on dxun. I've created it and it shows up in the game, but the skin does not look as sharp/tight as it does in gmax-all the features of the statue do not show through ie the face, robes, crossed arms. I've looked at some of the tutorials by svosh and quanon..I can't seem to make it look better. Any suggestions

All you need to do is select the polys in each part of the UV map. After you detach every part, you can export it and have it have the texture you want it to have. DarthParametric
Sounds more like a shading issue than a UV issue.
Quanon
I believe it looks differant because it has no lightmaps etc... apllied to it. And I think the Aurora Engine doesn't do very complex lighting of the placeable objects. Their just generaly lighted => Just brithly visible or very dark. ( Depends how you set it all up in the .git file.) Or do you really get messed and stretched texture parts ? Then try to follow Triggers advice or be lazy ( my advice) and apply a Box UVW map
oldflash
Extract the statue texture and put it in override folder.
