cire992 Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 ^ This thing ain't backwards compatible? I mean, I know the ps2 hasn't been "retired" yet, but really now... I'd say that's ridiculous but if I have to try (and possibly fail) to back up my statements, I may end doing something foolish like buying a PS3 or something.

Nope, the last BC PS3 was the 80GB version that came with the MGS4 Bundle. There were rumors about PS2 compatibility being added back to the system via a firmware update, which stemmed from the discovery of a patent that Sony filed regarding the matter. However, so far for one reason or another PS2 compatibility has not been incorporated into the newer systems, nor has there been any hint of it being re-introduced anytime soon.
Lynk Former Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I want it now mav make Sony add it back now.
cire992 Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I guess it's more of a convenience thing... but still. I want now.
