dj_alfi
So, I was contemplating getting KoToR, I never played it when it came out since I was producing alot of music, so I wasn't really into gaming then. I am an avid Star Wars fan though, I even enjoy the prequels, and I'm kinda ashamed to say I liked the Ewok-movies. That being said, I am far from a SW-geek, I don't know half of the stuff that's on Wookiepedia, but I do know more than the average person i guess. Anyhoo, I ordered KoToR1, and while waiting for it, I did a google search to see if i found any info on whether playing Kotor1 before 2 was neccesary. Clicked a link that seamed relevant and BAM! Some guy blurted out the big spoiler. Is the game still worth playing? I have been playing for 3-4 hours now (Im only in the sewers with the rakghouls and ****), and i want to enjoy it, but I just can't stop thinking about the spoiler, and I'm just wondering if there are enough twists and **** to keep the game entertaining, or should i just start playing KOTOR2 instead? Thanks for any comments, Alfi
Rtas Vadum
Well, there is a subtle difference in learning a secret from someone, and having the secret unfold before your eyes. I had K1 "spoiled" for me too(in the sense where I was told, not shown relevant scene/s), but that didn't stop the urge I had to get far enough in the game, to not only hear it from the right person, but finish the game as well. I actually took a little pride in knowing who I was really playing, namely since it wasn't just a random character.
dj_alfi
I decided to keep playing lol. Im about 30 hrs into the game (just met malak) so im passed that spoiler, so everything from here-on-out is "new info" lol... but im kinda thinking of quitting now, seeing ass i lost all of my stuff when i got captured, and i didnt have anything hidden away in the compartment-thingies on the ship, and to top that; the nearest save i have to capture-scene is 2 hours earlier just as i passed into the forest on kashyyyk, and no freakin way am i gonna play all of that again lol... Jae Onasi
Don't worry, you'll get lots more loot.
jrrtoken
After the BIG SPOILER, there's not much left, other than a few obvious revelations and lore tidbits. The end is rather predictable, both for LS and DS, but that's not exactly bad in any way, although don't expect anything astounding. The gameplay seems to asphyxiate itself during the third act, especially the interlude to the final battle (Infinitely respawning waves of enemies >_<), so that's a perfect spot to cheat towards the end, or to skip it entirely and head to K2. Don't worry, you'll get lots more loot. And this is good... for what reason?

Are you talking "lost your stuff" as in you regained control of your character, and you didn't have any items? If so: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Carth should mention that your stuff is in an adjacent room, even run into it. Your items should be in both the two lockers, along with some other loot in the other containers.
jonathan7
I don't recall ever loosing your stuff and not being able to get it back... The game is worth finishing, the cinematics at the end are cool, though as PastramiX has stated the fighting does get a bit tedious! As a note of caution while looking though the boards of a 6 year old game to expect to encounter spoilers
dj_alfi
yeah i remember him saying something about it, but i was kinda drunk when i played that level, so i thought he said he was gonna go get my stuff lol... that's also the reason i didn't save that often lol
Parmenides
I got the spoiler bomb too. But I still loved the game. What a blast. I don't even remember Baldur's Gate 2 being this fun. Well, maybe equal, I can't remember. Oh, and you're about to quit where you are? Definitely a bad time to quit. You'll have to escape before you even think about it.
