secret areas purpose in JA

In Jedi Knight finding secret area was rewarded by more force stars, is there any benefit in finding secret areas in JA?

Finding secret areas is a game within the game. It's also a tradition in this series.

Yeah, in Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy, finding them just gives you whatever was hidden there, and the satisfaction that you "found a secret" (for completists).
