Chevron 7 locke
"Been awhile hasn't it?" Alriana smiled at him as he helped her get back to her feet. "Indeed it has been." She looked over the imperials who were still out cold from Alriana's force wave attack. "I think it's time that we alert those in the lab that the area and the remote have been secured. The sooner we get away from this planet that better." Alriana sighed. "I overheard what that man said over the communicator. They have the virus...Something needs to be done about this. We need to find them and destroy the virus."
JediMaster12
Tavaryn returned Alriana's smile with one of his own and he steadied her on her feet. "Nothing can be done about them now and if I'm not mistaken, Pradhes has a sample to create an antivirus. Besides I know some people who can tell me about them." He walked over towards the door to the lab and got it to open. He spotted his niece sitting on the floor leaning against a pillar. Right away he spotted that something had happened but was astute enough not to ask. Instead he asked, "Where are the others?" "Heading towards the ship," Tonatius came out, holding a piece of explosive. Followed by Matton who had another. "Then we better leave ourselves," Tavaryn replied. He was going to help up his niece but then he noticed Matton make a swift movement to help her up. Saying nothing about it it he began to lead the party out of the caverns but not before he said, "We don't have to worry about th efrags but the our charges are ready to blow?" Tonatius pulled out a transmitter, "Right here," and put it back on his belt. "I won't ignite until we are out." Tavaryn nodded as he made sure Alriana and the others were moving with precision. He happened to catch sight of the Geonosian that he spoke to earlier and said, "The charges are set. We must leave the caverns."
Chevron 7 locke
"The charges are set. We must leave the caverns." The Geonosian let out a loud chittering noise in response and suddenly Alriana could hear a chittering noise in response from down one of the tunnels. "My solders are now leaving the base. Our greatest wish has been granted. The destroyers have been driven from this world and the next time they think they can invade our world we will drive them away." The Geonosian turned to look at Alriana and seemed to look her over before speaking again. "Jedi, many years ago you brought the destroyers to our world by fleeing to it. Yet now...you have returned and have helped us drive the destroyers away. Your name will no longer be spoken with contempt and anger but instead with respect and honor." Alriana smiled and looked at Tavaryn before turning back to the Geonosian. "I thank you. And I am glad that you have chosen to forgive me for my mistake so many years ago. But now is not the time to talk, now is the time to get out of here."
JediMaster12
Tavaryn returned the smile while Alriana replied to the Geonosian. He moved to help his niece up but was stopped by Matton who gave the impression that he wouldn't allow anyone to touch her except him. Tavaryn said nothing but grabbed Alriana's elbow and said, "Come on. The Geonosians will be fine. They know their way out." To the Geonosian, he nodded and replied, "Thank you." Chevron 7 locke
"Come on. The Geonosians will be fine. They know their way out." Alriana watched as the last of the geonosians made their way out of the base and up into the sky. Soon the only one left was the leader of the geonosians. The leader looked at Alriana and then at Tavaryn. "Thank you." "Both of you will be remembered here. As long as our hive exists we will tell stories of those who managed to drive the destroyers away." The geonosian took off leaving only Alriana and the others in the base. JediMaster12
((Alkonium: How about having a missed charge go off and it starts a chain reaction in collapsing the tunnels?)) Tavaryn gave a nod of farewell and began leading the group through the tunnels towards the ship. It was a relief that they managed to stop the Imperials yet he couldn't help but be wary of the fact that the Echleon 5 trooper got away. He looked at Alriana and asked, "How does it feel doing a Jedi's work again?" ********** R4 warbled as he brought the ship's systems on line. It needed to be primed for Matton to blast out and burn sky. Besides he was the only one who could navigate the canyons without crashing. He beeped at Andorra telling her that all systems were go before going to the medbay.
Alkonium
(Yeah, that could work? I'm thinking Tonatius should be there when Kalla wakes up) "Doctor?" Kalla asked, finally waking after her ordeal. "How are you feeling?" Lenatha inquired. "A bit better. What happened to my arm, anyway? It's all bit of a blur" Kalla replied, having trouble distinguishing what really happens from some sort of nightmare. "You lost it fighting Darth Pestilus, but I was able to reattach it with a Regenerative Clamp." Lenatha explained. So that was real. Kalla thought, running her fingers across the metal ring on her arm. "What's a regenerative clamp? I've never heard of it before." She then asked. "It's a piece of specialised medical equipment, developed fairly recently. It's meant to provide amputees with an alternative to cybernetically replacing their lost limbs. It operates by fusing the nerves back together and accelerating the recirculation of blood to the reattached limb. With time, and occupational therapy, you'll regain full use of your arm, with no permanent loss to dexterity." The doctor explained. "Thank you." Kalla replied. "Matton, everything's ready here. We can take off the moment you're on board." Andorra sent out after getting the update from R4.
JediMaster12
Matton replied over the comm, "Right and tell the walking tin can not to mess with my specs." Jun-la looked at him reproachfully, "Leave R4 alone." "If I'm mean, it's because I care," Matton replied before scooping up Jun-la nad running full speed with Tonatius not too far behind. Jun-la rolled her eyes and would have struggled to make Matton put her down but she didn't have the strength to do it. That drain took much out of her and if he hadn't been steadying her upright, she would have collapsed. So she was content to let Matton fullfill a fantasy of his. Tonatius was wondering if Kalla was alright. He clutched her lightsaber in his hand, feeling the cool feel of the metal. He swore he could feel her presence within the lightsaber. Quietly he appealed to the Force, the gods, anyone that would listen, unaware that he was projecting his thoughts towards Kalla. To anyone that is listening, I ask that my mo chroi be alright. I would be lost without her.
Chevron 7 locke
"How does it feel doing a Jedi's work again?" Alriana looked at Tavaryn and smiled. "I must admit that it feels wonderful. This is the first time since I awoke from the cryogenic sleep that I'v actually considered myself a jedi." She looked over the group and sighed. "I'm glad that I returned to Geonosis after all these years. I felt guilty for so many years after the Empire occupied Geonosis. I'm glad that I managed to redeem myself in the eyes of the Geonosians. I feel that I can finally let the past go and concentrate on helping others." She turned to Tavaryn again. "Are you ready to get going? No offense...but Geonosis isn't really my favorite planet."
JediMaster12
"I say we hop to it. Looks like the others are on their way. We need to cover the flank," Tavaryn replied as he took off after the others at a jog. He had only the lightsaber in his hand being that it was easier to tote and wield should something spring upon them unexpectantly. "Steady jog ought to do it," he said. Chevron 7 locke
"Steady jog ought to do it," Alriana simply nodded at him and took off after him. But even as she ran she couldn't help but think that they were in still some sort of danger. She reached out through the force and tried to sense if there was any but she couldn't sense anything. This feels so odd...There is no danger to be seen or sensed and yet I can't shake the feeling that we're still in danger. She quickly managed to catch up Tavaryn. "I have a feeling that we're still in danger but I can't sense anything. Do you think it's just a bad feeling or do you think that we're still in danger as well?" JediMaster12
Tavaryn glanced at Alriana and gave a slight nod. "When I saw Tonatius and Matton holding those charges, it made me feel uneasy. The sooner we ge out, the better." Tonatius was the first to reach the ship. He brushed by everyone and headed straight for the medbay. He looked at Kalla and said softly, How are you feeling moi chroi?"
Alkonium
"A lot better now. Dr. Pradhes wants me to rest for a while. Something about the clamp recirculating blood into my arm. It'll take its toll, but I'm through the worst of it already." Kalla reassured him. Lenatha then approached Tonatius. "As I recall, you took a beating yourself. How are you feeling?" She asked him. "Matton, we've just received word from the Enterprise. They've arrived in orbit, and and ready to render assistance if need be." Andorra called out from the cockpit. Alkonium
(In light of all the lost data, I say we just sum up what was lost, and keep going) In order to make room for Jun-la in the Ebon Hawk's medbay, Lenatha had Tonatius take Kalla to the starboard dormitory to rest and recuperate from her injuries, while needing the rest himself. Meanwhile, Alriana and Tavaryn surmised that there was at least one charge still active in the facility, hooked up to a Dead Man's Switch. "Deal." Kalla whispered back, mustering enough strength to kiss him back.
JediMaster12
((That was weird. Oh well, let's go)) Tonatius accepted the kiss as he stroked her hair. "Just rest and I'll be over there," he indicated to the unoccupied bunk nearby. He didn't bother to pull off his boots but just sat in a lounging position. Sleep would come later, right now he was watchign Kalla to make sure she got hers. ********** Tavaryn looked at Alriana and said, "It is possible that there is one left. The question is whether or not we should go back. What say you?"
Chevron 7 locke
"It is possible that there is one left. The question is whether or not we should go back. What say you?" Alriana rapidly shook her head no. She could feel the danger through the force and the sense of danger was getting stronger. She couldn't pinpoint where the danger was coming from...it felt like it was coming from everywhere at once. "We need to leave now. Right now all I can sense is danger and I can't help but think that if we don't leave now we won't be leaving at all. Geonosis caves First class trooper Sirev knew that he was dying. He looked down at the dead-man's switch that he was holding down. The moment he lifted his finger from the switch he would not only destroy the lab and the tunnel leading to the surface but anything or anyone still in the tunnels would die if the charges were still active. Sirev was dying...but if he was lucky he would at least take his enemies into death with him and that was all that mattered to him now. Say goodbye... he thought with his last breath as he lifted his finger from the switch.
JediMaster12
Tavaryn nodded, "Let's go, we've got the better part of a mile and a half of caverns left." He then sprinted forward grabbing Alriana's wrist to pull her along until she set up a pace. Tavaryn could feel the danger. "I sense the danger too." Alkonium
"We could just share this one." Kalla suggested. "We're probably not the only ones who need a rest after all this." **************** "Matton, I'm picking a large energy surge coming from the base, probably from an explosion or something. If my reading are correct, we need to get out of here now to avoid getting caught in the blast." Andorra pointed out to Matton, urging him to take the helm. ***************** "This is bad, but not hopeless. You're lucky he wanted you alive. The best I can do here is give you a shot of bacta, but I'll be able to do more for you in the medbay on the Star Destroyer Enterprise." Lenatha explained, readying a syringe filled with bacta to inject into Jun-la's arm.
JediMaster12
Tonatius widened his eyes in surprise at Kalla's suggestion. He knew she was being practical about things but his mind was stuck on the fact that she was a female and he was male and his upbringing was telling him to do otherwise. His mother always called him the perfect gentleman and it was in overdrive. Unaware of the blush creeping about his face, he muttered nervously, "I might hurt you." ********** Matton was seated at the helm and rapid checking the systems. He replied, "We still have two inside. Jun-la won't forgive me if we leave her uncle behind." Even though he was saying that, he knew that they had to move. His hand was on the helm and he was close to making the painful decision ********** Jun-la took the shot in her arm with a mild grunt from the sting. Immediately the effects of the bacta were working. She replied, "Whether or not he wanted me alive, it was a cheap shot."
Alkonium
"You'd never hurt me." Kalla whispered to Tonatius before falling asleep. Despite all she'd been through today, it was the soundest sleep she'd had in a long time. ******************** "Matton, they came in their own ship, didn't they?" Andorra pointed out to Matton, reminding him that if they left now, Tavaryn and Alriana would still have a way off the planet. ******************** "Perhaps, but it does provide us with some insight into this Sith Lord. He could have easily used that ability when he was fighting Kalla and Tonatius, and he could have easily killed you with it, but he didn't. It's as if he didn't want it to be easy for himself. He's a monster, I won't argue with that, but he still showed some semblance of honour." Lenatha commented.
JediMaster12
Tonatius was still blushing when Kalla replied to him but it slowly faded as he watched her drift to sleep. He brushed her hair with his fingrs before settling into one of the seats in the corner. He softly said, "But it would hurt me," and drifted off to sleep himself, aware of the fatigue he experienced. ********** "That may be so, but like I said, Jun-la would kill me and her father would more likely dig me up and kill me again," Matton replied. "Just a few seconds longer." ********** "No. It's a tactic that's proven useful. Take out of action the strongest oppoents and you are left with those that may not stand a chance," Jun-la replied. Chevron 7 locke
"I sense the danger too." Alriana turned around as she heard a massive explosion behind them and then another, closer to them then the other one. Alriana turned back to Tavaryn and they ran and shrugged her shoulders nervously. "I guess we missed a few of the charges." Alriana began gathering the force around her and began running...faster and faster as she attempted to get away from the explosions. She turned to Tavaryn who wasn't that far behind, "I suggest we get moving, I think that there are going to be more explosions, if we don't get out of here soon we won't leave at all." JediMaster12
Tavaryn didn't need an invitation. He heard the first explosion and if it hit the specialized charges then they would be in trouble. He gathered his energy and shot forward to match Alriana per stride. He signaled on his comm, "Matton get the ship out." After what seemed like forever the reply came, "Got it." Tavaryn took a breath and continued with Alriana. "Looks like we did miss one. Let's just hope we get out before the others go." Matton hated it but he figured that maybe Andorra might be right. Still he didn't want to be caught on Jun-la's bad side. Someone already was. He said to Andorra, "Be co-pilot. Check systems."
Chevron 7 locke
"Looks like we did miss one. Let's just hope we get out before the others go." Alrina continued running as quickly as she could as more and more explosions echoed behind them. No matter how quickly she ran she could feel the explosions getting closer with each passing second. "I really hope that you have a plan in mind since you just sent the ship away." Alrina commented as they continued running. "Those explosions are getting closer with each passing moment." Alkonium
Following Matton's instructions, Andorra started checking over the various systems from her console. "Everything appears to be in working order. Matton, do you really think Tavaryn's instructions are going to be enough justification for Jun-la?" She then asked. "Then what did he have to gain from leaving you alive?" Lenatha pointed out to Jun-la.
