bryzz
ok so i have finished my first complete reskin - i think - i would like some input i am haveing problems with kotor so it is a print screen render for gmax but i think the skin may be to dark - i am not sure Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) and the 2D i used a leather texture for the strap like parts but i dont know if i will do it again it kind of looks funny
Zhaboka
Nice color composition! I really like that.
bryzz
ok i tried to do a desert version - its ok - but i like my jungle one better - i did the leather straps again - i may have to change their color - it doesnt quite go with the rest of the armor Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) and the 2D i am starting on a urban version but the texture i am using has a lot of white so it may look more like a tundra camo style Update: ok i have finished the Urban/Snow whichever it may look like more Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) and the 2D now all that is left is to add them into the game where they fit i want to do something special for Bendak and Sherruk but i am not sure what yet - ideas would be sweet
Dak Drexl
Looks awesome so far bryzz! I actually like the blueish color of the urban variation, it reminds me of something I started a while back (the water style). I think you should think about keeping the blue as a camo for water environments, like Manaan (are there any Mandalorians on Manaan?) Anyway, keep it up. I look forward to seeing how your blaster scorch comes out Oh, I also really like your leather texture.
Zhaboka
I love the Urban one. I think the Desert one is slightly too salmon. Maybe just perk up the yellows with Levels or something.
bryzz
too salmon?? - i will see what i can do - are you talking about the plates or just overall?? - i was having some difficulty with the desert one - i couldnt get the colors right - when i overlay the camo texture the original grey makes some of the lighter parts greenish and then the medium brown shade got salmony- i tried to correct it by first overlaying white to reduce grey and it looked better but still too salmony and too green - i am not sure what to do - the plates are just overlays of a color i selected from the camo part of the armor starting a new urban version that is more gray - thanks Dak water is a great idea - and then i will be working on a snow version that is of course more white Update: ok so i did another urban version because i like Dak's idea of the other being water - so here it is Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) and the 2D i am going to have a snow version - the new urban is really dark so to do snow i think i will just overlay the urban with white a few times to get it alot lighter Update: ok so i made the snow skin - i am not sure if i like how it came out - but it will work - more specificly the plates idk something about them i dont like Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) and the 2D now i am going to recolor the desert armor - the plates - will be a little more yellow - and lighter since it is "desert" Another Update: and i need some advice - i dont know which desert version i want to use now Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) and the other ok so i did what you said - i increased the yellow level - the first i increased it more and on the entire skin - the second i increased the yellow i bit - trying to keep a brown look - opposed to golden - anyway i only did it on the plates so the camo part is exactly the same on the second one i redid and the original
Random Nickos
The first of the desert ones looks ideal for blending into Tatooine.
bryzz
The first of the desert ones looks ideal for blending into Tatooine. the first first one up higher in the thread or the first one in my previous post??
Rinku
I say the first one, as in the higher one in your previous post (the one with the snow version).
bryzz
yeah - i was thinking one of the newer ones - ok - so version 2 it is also i was just kind of fooling around and came up with this Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) a quick urban camo of soldier clothing - i dont kno - i might do all three versions - taking my time and do the male and female / jungle, desert, urban then someone could use them to replace all of the republic soldiers or something like that - i could and i might do it all myself but the replacing part is boring - lol
LDR
Those camouflages are better than anything I could come up with. Nice!
darth-me
Ideally i think somewhere between the two desert versions would be best - version 1 is too salmon but looks more like armour to me, version 2 looks a bit cheesy almost, but both are good. bryzz
thanks a lot LDR i just started reskinning for real - before i would just mess around an see how it looked - so its nice to get positive feedback - of course i love the critisisum a lot to - shows me what i can change to make it better and the third one is a cross of both - version 3 - like i said i little less yellow and only on the plates ok so there is one mandalorian on manaan and if i use the water version there the only other mandalorian in a city is bendak - but i am going to try and make his armor look special - somehow custom to him - so i am going to say the second urban camo i made is a black ops armor - i feel it looks worthy - i am using them all in this one mod that adds to the story a bit - but i dont have screenshots or anything like that yet i am trying to get a "new" module to work - i am reusing the endar spire and i wanted it to have an different look - i still have trouble reskinning modules but i am getting frustrated because i have followed this one tut 3 times - it says how to reuse a module but have the new skin only apply to the "new" and leave the original look with the original but i cant get it to work once i get it - whether i have someone else set it up or i finally get it to work - i will take some screenshots and post them Update: ok its not really a reskin but the sith apprentice armor is 256x256 and the darth bandon skin is 512x512 so i copied all of the parts that were the same in both and moved them onto the sith ap. armor - so it is half higher res the white armor pieces have just been increased in size - i dont know if there is much i can do about those parts Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show)

bryzz
oh yeah - that is awesome - based off of the soldier?? and on another note - i tried to make a red version of my half high res sith ap. armor but i cant get the right color - so that is matches the soldier
N-5/Prudii
Yeah, for the red, I use RGB: 114 0 0 in GIMP, with the overlay tool multiple times.

bryzz
N-5 Prudii made the skin - i like the original skin a lot but N-5 Prudii's skin makes way more sence - thinking that the soldier and sith apprentice armor are most likely made and designed by the same people Update: i made a darker version of the sith ap. skin - as well as a red hued one still no shine though i made the navy blue a black - and made the hands the same as the cloth areas so that they looks like gloves Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) and if the player decides to go dark side - what do the 3 dark jedi look like on the star forge - i want to do skins of those versions for this armor and see how it looks and yet another Update: In-Game Shots for Mandalorians Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Bendak - i didnt post screens of them but Sherruk has the same skin / as well as the leader Mandalorian on kashyyyk Dantooine - the Jungle version i have doesnt really match Mandalorian Merc on Manaan Kashyyyk - same skin as dantooine - colors match better here UnknownWorld - same prob as dantooine - colors dont match - i need to make one more skin i think i dont have any ingame pics of the desert skin - because to see it i would have to play through alot of the game and talk to cand. so i can see jagi and his thugs - for all of the screens i have i just warped to the modules also i am missing one of the utc files on dantooine - one mandalorian still shows up blue in the sandral grounds module - i am still searching for it - i cant seem to find it
bryzz
It has been awhile but I just finished these two relatively simple skins. After the grey dark jedi and red dark jedi armors I decided to make some jedi versions as well - still navy blue cloth but one armor is brown and thhe other is blue to go with the robes colors in game - i know that there is a red as well but i am still working on getting it the right shade of red as to be able to tell the difference between sith red and jedi red in-game. I am just change the cloth color but i am not sure. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show)

redrob41
Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Bendak - i didnt post screens of them but Sherruk has the same skin / as well as the leader Mandalorian on kashyyyk Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) You might want to be a little more careful with the camo splotches. The areas around the neck on these ones are a little too horizontal, and don't look random like camo should. Instead, they kinda look like the angular armour pieces, and they form a "T" shape on the neck. That's the problem with randomized shapes on a mirrored uvw map . As for the reds, if you're using Photoshop, try and use the "match color" function. It should help you get the correct shades of red by matching the original Sith soldier armour to your new one. Same for the Jedi robe, which is a bit more orangey. Keep it up
