Fallen Guardian
You know the black letterbox that pops up every time you start a dialogue with someone? My question is: Would it be possible to remove this letterbox in any way? Whether it be temporary, cinematic purposes (when you don't need the black background to more easily read the blue text), or something more permanent, such as a texture change or something. Red Hessian
I second the question. I know it has been done for Dragon Age: Origins, so it would seem to be possible. Now to only figure out how to apply that to Kotor...
DarthParametric
DA is a completely different animal. It's UI is all Flash-based.
JCarter426
I know it's possible because I've had it bug out and not show up. However, I'm not sure what you would have to edit - it's likely in the gui.erf, but I know that doesn't help much - and I do know that it would be an always show or always hide type deal. Fallen Guardian
I've looked at a lot of things in gui.erf that looked like they could be it, but if I made them transparent and stuck them in the override no changes occurred.
Hassat Hunter
It's done in dialog_p.gui. I've made them invisible... but it wasn't much help as still the black bars slid in from top and bottom, and I didn't find a way to turn those off too
Red Hessian
*Casts thread necromancy* Sooooo has anyone figured this out yet? I plan to start another run of Kotor soon and any help in getting rid of the black boxes would be very much appreciated.
