Zoom Rabbit
While flying routing patrol in my A-wing starfighter, I happened upon a Star Trek wormhole that took me to an alternate universe, where I found a Battlestar Galactica fleet. I took several recon photos, then returned back here to Star Wars land. (I've been building my own *rag-tag fugitive fleet.* Enjoy.) This one appears to be an armed freighter of some kind. It looked as if someone had hand-painted 'Free Bird' on the starboard berthing compartment. Since it was the only civilian ship with weapons, I'm not sure what to make of it... More to follow... Zoom Rabbit
There were several military ships with this fleet, unlike the BSG teevee series. This one was marked CDMC and bristled with guns. I think it was a space marines troop ship. Don't try to board this one!
Zoom Rabbit
An honest to goodness antique battlestar, barely keeping up with the fleet. I'm guessing the extra guns make it worthwhile, keeping this old tub in the air. It must have been liberated from the fleet museum or something. Zoom Rabbit
This one is a cargo ship. My guess is that *AD* stands for 'Al's Delivery.'
Wildstar
Zoom, none of these photos are showing up, and the only thing I can think of as to why is that you can't hotlink anything from your private email (I had a look @ the image URL as a mod). Might be better to upload these to something like Photobucket, and I've even had success hotlinking from Facebook.
RoyTordesLegend
Zoom, as you were the former undisputed 'King of Picting' this is most most disappointing.
Zoom Rabbit
*(Pokes Roy)* Cheeky bird. I was indeed trying to post from e-mail...so I set up a freaking FACEBOOK account, downloaded all my photos to this laptop and then posted them there. I edited the first post with my new link...and I'm getting the box with red X. Still. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Wildstar
Zoom, you can try just right-clicking the photos, choosing "Copy image location" and then pasting into place. I did suggest Photobucket b/c there's a form w/ the image URLs in your albums.
Cmdr. Cracken
Zoom: you can use imgur.com, which is a free photo hosting site.

RoyTordesLegend
It's okay folks, don't panic, don't panic, Zoom has enrolled in a course so he can get the hang of the things he's forgotten over the years....
Zoom Rabbit
I spent hours posting those on Facebook! It's the biggest social website in the solar system...surely I can hot link to those photos! Wildstar, I tried right-clicking on the photo. Nothing in my menu resembled 'copy image location.' The site has a 'get link' option which gives you a URL, but it's the one in my first post that doesn't work. Anyone know how I can do this without moving my photos to another website? Let's try this; https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1389317801343692&l=409bb694d6#!/jim.coomber.16/media_set?set=a.1389316881343784.1073741827.100007964560689&type=3 You guys can finally see what I look like and find out my boring real name. RoyTordesLegend
I can see some guy called 'Jim' who looks like my uncle Billy.....in 1983....am I at the right place?
Zoom Rabbit
Well, I am your uncle Billy. Get off the loo, you bleating wanker! And quit learing at me girlie mags! I have fixed this by moving all my photos AGAIN...to photobucket. Yay, photobucket! *(Sends avatar mech piloted by terminator kill-bot into action.)*
edlib
You Facebook photo album page wants to know "Do you know Jim?" That is a damn good question...
Zoom Rabbit
Here go a bunch more of my recon photos... Here's a luxury space liner, with a pyramid stadium amidship (the round part.) My fleet is lucky enough to have a hospital ship. This is another military ship, in this case an escort carrier. The landing bay has a fly-through design to accomodate fast-moving military spacecraft...though you have to duck right through the engine wash to make a landing! Whoever designed this ship must have been stoned. A cargo ship. Note the 1/600 scale viper mk2 on the forward cargo launcher, which I built from WW2 airplanes of the same scale (my best modeling feat to date.) How does an advanced civilization deal with planet-killing meteor impacts? Why, an asteroid mover, of course. It could also be used for space mining operations. A space casino. The uppermost portion is a vast dome with windows larger than the starship enterprise and a restaurant suspended from the ceiling (being a cook, I just HAD to build a restaurant somehow...) Here's a mobile spaceport, with a fly-through landing bay and four smaller craft concourses around the sides. This is like a battlestar, only civilian; the small AA guns on the fore are to discourage pirates, not put up a serious defense against cylons. For large cargo items like spacecraft engines or modules to be used in construction on site, this heavy cargo lifter can take them from the ground out into space without having to store them in a pressurized hull. It also carries smaller cargo containers in two racks along the sides. The biggest freighter in my fleet is this battlestar-sized monster. EFS stands for 'Enterprise Freight Services.' Being a Star Trek fan, naming a ship Enterprise was required. My tylium refinery ship actually looks like a refinery! Eh? The one they had in the teevee show looked like a garbage scow. Okay. If anyone wonders what I've been doing with my spare time all these years I've been gone...now you know. I've been ruining my eyesight.
