The Making of Monkey Island documentary

This fan documentary premiered yesterday, and features excellent new audio interviews with Ron, Dave and Mark Ferrari. Orson Scott Card and Steve Purcell have also contributed, voiced by actors. It touches on most aspects of the production, including plenty of details that were new to me and some fun anecdotes.

This was brilliant, and I did learn some new things. It never occurred to me that they were working out of Skywalker Ranch. What a dream that must have been.

This was great :) it’s made me want to get hold of a copy of On Stranger Tides. Sounds like was a big influence on the story of MI. 

 

The quality of these sort of documentaries lately that you find on YouTube is awesome. Have watched a couple now that have obviously taken a lot of time and effort to put together.

I bought and read On Stranger Tides... Not bad, but I was surprised how little there was that was recognisable. I think it was basically the world that inspired Ron (pirates + voodoo). Still worth a read though.
