The new zelda game

So we all know that the next zelda game is going to take advantage of the gamecube hardware by...making things more cartoonish. Funny. I always thought that as the consoles became more advanced, the graphics would become more realistic. What are your thoughts on this new take on the series?

Let's face it. If the game was like what the footage from 2000 showed us. It would have instantly been the best game ever when it came out. Bringing the graphic lovers together with the game play lovers. Now that what's-his-name has totally changed direction and wants to go for a more "classic" look, only time will tell us if it will pan out. I myself think he made a big mistake as far as the U.S. market goes. I'm still gonna buy the new zelda but I'll always know that it's not what it could have been.

i'm betting it'll have ALOT of gameplay, the reason they're ditching the graphics is probably so they can concentrate on the gameplay, and make it challenging. They'll probably make it for gba too or do something with that control thing that i know nothing about. :D

Comon guys.

You have to admit it will be a fresh look from all those 3D games. To be honest I'm not that hyped up with the GameCube, X-box and PlayStation2 as much as when the N64 came out.

Why? Mario64 was truly the FIRST completly 3D environment the player could explore.

now that is the norm and I personnaly do not find it as appealing.

I need/want something FRESH.

and Zelda will be it I think.

I think it all depends on the game.....With Mario you don't want him looking realistic do you? Same with Zelda...you would (or I'd hope) want them more cartoony. Zelda looks to be really good looking, its not suppose to be "realistic"
