Vagabond
I used to play JK/MotS with a joystick, throttle, and pedals configuration, with all force powers mapped to one of the controller buttons/hats. Everything was instantaneous and fast. With my new rig, the CPU is faster than the gamecard can keep up with, so I need to get USB controllers to fix the problem. In any event, back in "the days", my ****pit setup allowed me to wreak havoc on my opponents. But those days are gone, for now.
Scav
Originally posted by StarScrap Don't take offense to this, but have you posted anything yet without a :lopsided grin:? To tell you the truth, I've been waiting for someone to mention that. The answer is yes, in this very thread and a few others. Originally posted by Scav I always found balancing force powers difficult. Having to press one button to scroll through them and the other to use them is inconvenient, at the very best. I hope they improve this system somehow. Maybe the F-keys could be of some assistance, like they were in the original JK. The F-1 through 4 keys could be neutral and the rest could be used for individual powers. That really depends on Raven and their decisions on force powers, et al ad nauseum. I first got interested in Star Wars when a girl compared my grin to Han Solo's 'lopsided grin'. I distinctly recall saying: 'Han Solo? Who's Han Solo? And whaddya mean 'lopsided'?' From there bloomed all my interest in Star Wars, as I scanned through the Internet to find this 'lopsided grin' stuff, and to this day I still grin that way; I use it as a internet smiley code as well. If you recall that grin Solo does when Leia takes out the stormtrooper behind him in RotJ, the one wit the little tugging on one side of his mouth, THAT'S the smile I'm talking about. Funny, everyone else got interested in Star Wars by watching the movie, and I got interested by what I thought was an insult. :lopsided grin:

Scav
Originally posted by Vagabond You know, a good plastic surgeon could make your smile symetrical Naw, they find it irresistable. :lopsided grin: Ever read the Han Solo series? He does that grin alot, and Bria says: 'You know what you can do with that smile?'. Think of me as a real life Han Solo-suave type, eh? Bah, I'd never get bogged down with a princess though. I'm a free spirit. All that responsibility...
Lord_FinnSon
Bah, I'd never get bogged down with a princess though. I'm a free spirit. All that responsibility... So, in the end, you are Lando, not Han.
Scav
Lando doesn't have the smile. His goatee is what makes him a ladies man. :lopsided grin: So in the end, I end up Scav, top secret govermental supercomputer with excellent linguistic skills. TSG-SELS for short. (That is an inside joke, by the way, but I felt it was acceptable to port it over.)

DigitalVapor
Attacks, wall jumps, flips, rolls? Location based damage? new lighting and AI? Smooth skins? OMG I think I just had an orgasm!. This is the best game I have ever seen with the Star Wars name! I just dont want to jinx it. After all, The PC version of Obi Wan was supposed to be this good. (And from the pics and videos I saw, it WAS) and we all know what happened. So I try not to get my hopes up. Think about it, If this is so much like the quality of the original OW, why was the PC version of OW REALLY scrapped? I think the @#$%^&* @##$%^&*s at LEC just wanted to cash in on the X-Box and decided to use thier most exiting and highly anticipated game in development! I SWEAR, IF THEY PULL THAT @#$% WITH JK II, I WOULD BE PUT IN JAIL FOR THE THINGS I'D DO TO THEM!!!!!. :::takes a breather::: Whew! OMG! Did I just say that?? I dont know what came over me! Uhh... Forget I said all that, hehe. Keep up the good work guys!
StormHammer
Welcome to the forums, DigitalVapor and Ashava. Hope you enjoy your stay. Here... *hands each a chocolate Jedi Medallion* There you go. DigitalVapor I can feel the hate swelling in you now... Hmmm...no, I honestly believe LEC made the right decision to port Obi-Wan to the X-Box. I honestly don't think the control system they had planned would have worked on PC. Shame the game has issues...but as I've said before, maybe they can learn something from the reported bad points and use that information to improve future games. And that's a good thing...right? Besides...would we have had JKII this early if Obi-Wan had not been taken off the PC platform? I don't think so...

Lord_FinnSon
Well, I'm not gonna kick down good old Ben just because he failed to train me to become real Jedi; he is known to make these kind of mistakes time to time and you have to be careful, when he tries to sell you his point of views. We just have to wait and see what kind of adventures Kyle has for us and leave X-Box players to argue with Obi-Wan; perhaps they can make out something from his quasi-realigious lectures and actually learn something, while we take over the Galaxy!
