rolsen Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 I like the new forum colors/graphics. Very slick! What do the rest of you think?
Metallus Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 Very Orangey-bluey. I think they're good, but leaning towards busy-looking.
GonkH8er Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 i preferred the dark red theme aristotle had up for about 2 minutes. give everyone a look @ it again don
Denise Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 The present cheerful blue is a bit much against the darker colors on the rest of the site, IMO... Actually, it's getting on my nerves, but that's just the migrane talking. LOL.
Aristotle Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 Denise... you always seem to be around when I tweak the forums... so I guess there's "migrane's a plenty" in your future.
StephenG Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 The background blue is too bright, it really hurts my eyes.
Denise Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 Oooh, that's much better. Looking good, overall. And the headache is definitely not a byproduct of the color scheme, just made my reaction to it a bit more harsh.
Aristotle Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 There... that's as mild as I'm going with the background... seems to blend well. By the way.. all these colors from the forums actually come right from Kyle's clothes.. if anyone was wondering.
C Shutt Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 This is a little better, but not much. What was wrong with the red and black?
Obi Kwan Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 Looks good Aristotle; its good to change things up a bit. I like hte chamber oriented scheme from the other thread (thats my fav screenshot so far as well) Nice job with the banner as well!
Aristotle Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 Carl, The red and black was a fragmented format... A nice clean logo up top running smoothly into the forum tables looks more pleasing naturally to the eye. Further, as I stated earlier, these colors come directly from Kyle's clothing... so they have a bit of meaning.. rather than just random colors... hopefully people appreciate subtle meanings behind things. As I also said, I'll be working on several more designs, then I'll just let the forum pick which one they like best. The chamber design seems a bit busy to me at the moment, but I will be tweaking those colors tonight... and work on 2 additional designs this weekend.. one being more jedi lightsaber red based as well...
SlowbieOne Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 I wouldn't mind the chamber setup one bit, but this color scheme is very appropriate. Good job Aristotle.

ed_silvergun Posted January 18, 2002 Posted January 18, 2002 I like it as it is right now. Very slick.
Wacky_Baccy Posted January 18, 2002 Posted January 18, 2002 Thanks for changing that awful light blue, Aristotle. The scheme is excellent now (dim grey with that dark blue, and that lighter, dusty blue in the background). I dont like the 'chamber' version though - it's much too cheerful Please keep Kyle's graffiti as the banner cos it's the best!

If nothing else, it's easy on the eyes, but I think it looks good anyway. 8) Definitely keep that banner...it's excellent (I've got that wallpaper on my desktop right now. ).
Wacky_Baccy Posted January 18, 2002 Posted January 18, 2002 Originally posted by Eets'chula It's nice.. I dunno about that font though. If you mean the "jediknightii.net" bit on the banner, then I agree, I'm not too keen on it myself. The rest is great, though.
Metallus Posted January 18, 2002 Posted January 18, 2002 Yeah, the main graphic is great except for the title. I don't like the font or the zebra-texture thing.

Do I smell a hint of Photoshop Mosaic Tiles Filter? But I agree, comes across like a site pushing the "Rythmic Styles of Nairobi." I'd go slightly more gothic with it, but not too much. Of course, I'm a graphics major (graduating in May, hint hint), and I like to pretend I know what I'm talking about. --The Mighty Pants.
