Fin the Cat Posted January 26, 2002 Posted January 26, 2002 I live in the UK and am trying to get a copy of Grim Fandango soundtrack cd. Lucas won't ship to the UK has anybody got a copy in the UK for sale.
Lemon Head Posted January 26, 2002 Posted January 26, 2002 you could always make your own compliation by using ScummRev to take the songs and then apply them to a CD with any program of your choice
Huz Posted January 26, 2002 Posted January 26, 2002 The quality of the in-game music isn't quite as good as the actual soundtrack CD. I would try to blatantly pirate the soundtrack from some kind of file sharing thing (WinMX etc), since they refuse to allow us to buy it legally...
itsgood2slide Posted January 31, 2002 Posted January 31, 2002 You can buy the Grim Fandango OST from synsoniq.com, I know they deliver to the UK because I have ordered from them in the past - very reliable. Or could download the mp3s from this site - http://aventuraycia.metropoli2000.com (also check out the mp3s of the dig)
Gexx Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 i like napster the best. for illegal transactions that is
Metallus Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 I doubt that. Napster will try to do it's pay-service thing, fail miserably, and Audiogalaxy will reign supreme, for better or worse.
Gexx Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. i not know how to use anything but napster. it look like pirating days are over for me. i liked napster (bloodthirsty millionaire rockstars! ill get you good!)
Metallus Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 Aye, Napster was better than anything that's out there now, but IMHO Audiogalaxy is the best of the Napster-clones.
venom378 Posted February 13, 2002 Posted February 13, 2002 I have to disagree with you Metallus. I like Morpheus, available at http://www.musiccity.com (i think.....). Not only can you find a huge selection of music, but movies and software too........ Take THAT, audiogalaxy...
Metallus Posted February 13, 2002 Posted February 13, 2002 In my humble opinion: Morpheus/KaZaA They've never worked well for me, and I have tried both several times. You can't find any rare stuff on them, and if you do, chances are that the connection will be crappy, and there won't be any mirrors. So if you have no taste and just go for mainstream stuff, choose Morpheus.
Huz Posted February 13, 2002 Posted February 13, 2002 Morpheus and Kazaa are also great if spyware is your bag, baby, by all accounts. Then again I think most "free" Windows software is going that way.
MeddlingMonk Posted February 13, 2002 Posted February 13, 2002 Depends on whether they're trying to make money off of it. There is a lot of free/ad-free software around.
MeddlingMonk Posted February 14, 2002 Posted February 14, 2002 But then I'm not talking about file-swapping things.
Metallus Posted February 15, 2002 Posted February 15, 2002 SCUMMrev isn't spyware. At least, I don't think it is .

I just signed up for AudioGalaxy and i have to say its very good. i'll need to try it a bit longer to tell whether or not its as good as morpheus but its lookin that way!
L3onheart Posted February 19, 2002 Posted February 19, 2002 The link for the GF ST does work. Here: http://download.www.metropoliglobal.com/aventuraycia/htdocs/downloads/grim/grimbso.zip Anyways, Audiogalaxy's the best!

Metallus Posted March 4, 2002 Posted March 4, 2002 I did a search on "Soundtrack Grim Fandango" and found this among the results. Check out the familiar names on this ancient message board! Swordmaster = LucasFans webmaster telarium = Mojo Staff/Highland Productions Adrian Bashi = Indigo Island project leader Exciting!!
Schmatz Posted March 5, 2002 Posted March 5, 2002 I use WinMX and I am completely happy with it. Sometimes there are queues, but most of the time it is fast and efficient. No ads on it, and nothing else is installed besides WinMX (such as Kazaa, where that damn spyware 'EzulaMAIN' is installed, claiming to be an ad program). Plus you can get moves and pics and junk on it too.
