Bio Warrior Posted February 2, 2002 Posted February 2, 2002 im not sure if any body noticed this but in this pic those orange orb things look like repeater bullets
Redwing Posted February 2, 2002 Posted February 2, 2002 That's because they are. One of the confirmed weapons is the Imperial Heavy Repeater (no, the flechette launcher is NOT replacing it)
Justus Posted February 2, 2002 Posted February 2, 2002 That's cool, since the repeater rifle is one of my favorite weapons.
Bio Warrior Posted February 2, 2002 Author Posted February 2, 2002 awesome the repeater was always fun to knock stormtroopers of edges maybe we might be able to do it in JK2 also
Broode Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 I actually think that they are glowing places that blaster bolts have hit the floor/wall and made it really hot. If you look closely, the only scorce for repeater bullets would have to be that thing that the player is killing, and he carries a stormie rifle.
Redwing Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 ...I don't think so. Â So he's carrying a stormie rifle model? It's an old screenshot, perhaps they didn't have the repeater model yet.

OnlyOneCanoli Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 those repeater guns are okay in SP, almost totally useless in MP.....from what I've seen  Haha. I personally always sucked with it unless the other person had a weaker weapon than the repeater, but there are some people out there who can completely own with it. Jade Skyhiker who posts here once in a blue moon is great with it.
Ushgarak Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 I agree that those blobs look more like blast points than repeater shots. The trail they leave is completely illogical for a bullet trail and far more like someone's attempts to shoot someone.
CaptainRAVE Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 Well the bullets always were quite random before. Maybe hes doing a dive while shooting, well he is doing something weird anyway, maybe hes been shot in the leg and has moved in pain......of course it could be some form of force power that we dont know about.
Yodimus Prime Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 Nah, look at the ones in the backround. They are set in the corner, so unless that guy is blind, i doubt they are repeater bolts. But i'm sure they've improved on the burn marks since that pic. Â You know, that view reminds me a little of the beginning of the first level of Dark Forces..

Yodimus Prime Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 Now, why in the universe would we go back there?....uh...where exactly was that place anyway?
Uber_Saber Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 Originally posted by Yodimus Prime You know, that view reminds me a little of the beginning of the first level of Dark Forces.. Â Me too. I think part of it is the Stormie Rifle looks more like it did in DF than it did in JK. Â However I can't place the level from DF. I'm gonna have to play it again now.
Redwing Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 Well, in all the other screenies they have sparks not balls to represent hits; and those balls look identical to JK/MotS orange repeater balls. Â Odd...
Ushgarak Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 The two small ones, an inch under the gunsight and slightly to the left, are DEFINITELY set in the floor, not bolts coming towards the player. Â The perspective of the ones closest to the player are too low for them to be incoming bolts as well.
Redwing Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 Actually, the repeater fires so fast that I can picture Kyle having shot the guy, and the guy wildly spraying repeater shots all over...
dazilla Posted February 4, 2002 Posted February 4, 2002 I think that none of those are just glowing misses, and they're not repeater shots either, because the repeater fires in a perfectly straight line. What it DOES remind me of is the trail that rail rockets leave behind. Although I don't recall if the rail is coming back in the new one.
Redwing Posted February 4, 2002 Posted February 4, 2002 Rail rocket trails?! Definitely not...besides the rail det isn't returning...
dazilla Posted February 4, 2002 Posted February 4, 2002 I know, I checked it out, but I know that's not repeater shots, and they're not marks on the floor because the perspective is wrong. They could be rail det trails if the rail charge had passed a while ago and those are the last three particles.
Redwing Posted February 4, 2002 Posted February 4, 2002 No...the rails left smoke trails...did they not? I agree they don't look like marks on the floor tho...
Tierce Posted February 4, 2002 Posted February 4, 2002 I agree with Redwing's point of view...on how it could be the guy that was shot, shooting wildly
