Going gold? LucasArts and Raven don't have to work, the copy machine has to do all the work :)

someone has to sit there and make sure the cd machine is doing it's job. even in a highly automated procedure such as cd cases being put in a box has a lot of actual humans involved. and why start a process that will get stopped for sunday just because everything except retail and food is closed. they'd wait til monday i bet.

Well, if this whole going gold today thing was a joke, it was quite mean and twisted (J/K. I'm sure it wasn't. At least not on gonkH8ter's part). But anyways, doesn't UPS work on Sun.? Can't remember. They could make the "gold" copies today and have them shipped first thing Mon. morning. I could see it. Also, when LEC's website says a game has gone gold, I take it to mean that they have the finalized copies in their game making hands. They could be working on the final copy right now as I'm typing this and won't post that it's "gone gold" until the process is done. Who knows, I hope to come home from school and find the info that I'm looking for. We'll have to wait and see. (BTW, Mon. is the greatest day of the year because track practice begins that day here in MI. News of JO coming out could only make it better.)

Well, Global Operations went gold and Wednesday, I think, and is scheduled in stores on the 26th. Now, if JO went gold today, it probably wouldn't be out until March 30/April 1 or 2.
