So many cool things in the trailer.

People seem to be expecting way too much of these movies, and they are just setting themselves up for a bitter let down.

These films are supposed to be fun but if you go into them expecting to be filled with a child-like wonder your in trouble.

I for one loved the Phantom Menace because I had one hell of a good time watching it. I just hope for the same thing with Attack of the Clones.

Guest Krayt Tion

Mmmm, so, so sweet. Finally got it working in quicktime 5, nothing like the frame by frame to see how glorious this action really is. I've never seen anything like it. Final Fantasy can't even touch this.

So many things about this trailer excite me, many have already been mentioned.

Ya, I thought the trailer looked pretty cool too. Really epic battle scenes in there that appear to rival the naval fleet battle in Return of the Jedi.

And then we see the predecessor to the Star Destroyer and the AT-AT. Lots of glimpses of things yet to come.

Also, we finally got official confirmation that Mace Windu does in fact get to use a purple lightsaber. Rock on!

Pretty neat stuff.

If I may interject, all this not "feeling like Star Wars" business should be more thoroughly examined before the movie has this "other" image or feel labeled to it. Think about the difference in A New Hope and Empire strikes back. Excuse me, but if I saw ANH in '77, ESB would be the image farthest from what I'd expect. It's an entirely different era in the prequels. As ESB is different from ANH, so shall AotC be different from TPM. Maybe Episode III will bear more resemblance to ANH. :atat:

As I watched it over and over again my jaw got closer to the floor.

I nearly wet myself when i saw the last few scenes(Anakin w/2 sabers, HUGE battle with jedi everywhere)

I dont know whats worse waiting for JO or Aotc.

*thinks a minute......*

Aotc by far

this is a good time to be a SW fan...!!

The cgi Yoda looked kinda cheesy.. his face is too fat or something, can't put my finger on it.

Some of the dialouge was cheesy this time, but not as bad as the "Forbidden Love" trailer. heh...

Hope it's good.

Begun the line behind this movie to watch it is.

What an awesome trailer! I cheered several times during my first time watching it. I copied it off of Fox and watch it several more times.

This just might be the best two months of my life. I'm going to upgrade my computer to a Pentium 4 1.8 ghz Northwood in two weeks, get to play JKII in three weeks, and see Episode II in May. I'm going to take a weeks vacation March 31 - April 6 to play JKII and take another vacation the week of May 19th to spend most of the week in the theater watching Episode II. Its going to be great! :D

Not only is this year good for games but movies, computer hardware.... we’ve got the AMD Clawhammer coming out. We have the GeForce 4 out now, DDR (2) 333 will be out this year. DOOM III and Warcraft III in the game area. 2002 will be a great year I hope!

it was ok. About 90% of the trailer was CGI, and not even that great at that. The end of the movie however should be awesome with the all Jedi fighting for their lives, that will rule,Unless Lucas messes it up by going back and forth through scenes like at the end of TPM (the whole reason i saw EP1 was for the fight between obi,Qui and Maul)that really put the nail in TPM coffin.

The dialogue(sp?) between Obi and Anakin in the Coruscant car scene was kinda cheesy (but thats star wars)

I really don't want to see that much CGI in one movie, I think he might be trying to recapture the original appeal (special effects-wise anyway)of the first star wars movies. from the looks of it.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

i think it had too much cgi just like tpm did

the thing i liked about the original trilogy was that it was about people who were really human;

han the likeable arrogant rogue, leia the spunky tuff princess, Vader the dark poweful enemy, ob1 the venerable old jedi, yoda... umm....same as ob1 only older, lando the guy with a cheesy moustache and luke the whiny git

all the characters in the new trilogy just seem to be walking plot developments or excuses for action scenes.

i know it has a much broader ranged story to tell but there still should be characters the audiance relates to.

anyway just my three cents worth

The thing I was most impressed with were the Republic Gunships, swooping in to blow the hell outta those TF droids. Plus, I noticed Yoda, Mace, and Ki-Adi Mundi inside one of them in one of the middle shots (I'll post a screencap later).

Ok well you say that there is too much CGI but....this is you know...in the future that this takes place and george didn't have these comps to do CGI back then, if he did I would guess that would do it then. True, even with all its cgi EP1 did not even closely match ep4-6 mbe he didn't screw it up this time, then again he was willing to have nsync in there ....wtf george.

that maybe true, but the fact is they didn't and the way 4-6 were done is still alot better then doing nearly everything CGI like they are doing with the new movies...

If it ain't broke don't fix it

don't get me wrong i want CGI in the movie, But Just not every were i look. there doesnt need to be CGI through out the whole film, it's like he's trying to shove it down your throat.

ofcourse that being said it was just a trailer and final judgement will wait until the movie comes out.
