Wraith 8 Posted March 27, 2002 Posted March 27, 2002 I think we need more people here.... so im starting a discussion. I will add a new discussion every week. First Topic. X-WING or A-WING ??? And tell me WHY!
MikeC Posted March 28, 2002 Posted March 28, 2002 Depends on the situation. Overall I would have to say X-Wing. It's sturdier and packs more firepower so it can match up against larger ships but still take on almost anything in a dogfight. Besides, the X-wing gets the extra coolness factor for being the fighter of choice for Rogue Squadron (and Wraith Squadron to toss you a bone there Wraith 8).
Rogue15 Posted March 28, 2002 Posted March 28, 2002 A-Wing. definetely A-Wing. make it blue instead of that red. I like the speed and maneuverability and its ability to do quick hit and run missions. Best armed with....Advanced Rockets.
MikeC Posted March 29, 2002 Posted March 29, 2002 From your avatar I thought you might. But you forgot your own rules. Tell us WHY!
Wraith 8 Posted April 2, 2002 Author Posted April 2, 2002 damn... that was a give away wasnt it well.... it is good for almost any mission. and ofcourse ... that the X-wing was responsible for the destruction of 2 Death stars.... the third was rhanks to the Millenium falcon with Mara Jade and Lando Calrissian. ... and that The X-wing books realy inspired me.... so... is that explebation enough
Jan Gaarni Posted April 2, 2002 Posted April 2, 2002 The X-Wing. Definatly the X-Wing. Why? Because it's a better all around fighter craft. The A-Wing, though I like it too, are a pure interceptor and are best used for hit and run tactics, reconisance missions, and escort duty. The X-Wing is a superiority fighter, meaning it can preform most types of missions, except for heavy bombardment. It has good armament, shielding, speed and manouverability. But the big plus is, it's the craft that got its fame from blowing up the Death Star.
Com Raven Posted April 3, 2002 Posted April 3, 2002 As you guys said, the x-wing.... There's no role it can't take on, and even be good wiht it... interception, air superiority, escorts, even bombing....
Wraith 8 Posted April 4, 2002 Author Posted April 4, 2002 so i guess al the people on Swgalaxies...... are X-wing people... except for 15 ... a-wing lover ..
Darth Evad Posted April 5, 2002 Posted April 5, 2002 I'll have to go with X-wing. Although I like the looks of the A-wing better. X-wing for all of the above reasons. The B-wing on the other hand is my all time favourite. Mostly because of it's flight dynamics. Partly because it's beefy, heavily armed and ready to rock. And partly because it is hardly seen in the original trilogy (?).
Com Raven Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 Well, A-Wing can be cool too, plus I like the Jedi Starfighter...
Com Raven Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Hmm, no, don't think so... But this summer, we'll see.....
Wraith 8 Posted April 15, 2002 Author Posted April 15, 2002 well it is set on the original trilogie and people said it has only partial things of the other movies.... like NABOO...
Com Raven Posted April 18, 2002 Posted April 18, 2002 Right, I guess there'll only be very basic things from the movies...
Wraith 8 Posted April 19, 2002 Author Posted April 19, 2002 yeah i guess... lets just stick with X-wings first
Com Raven Posted April 19, 2002 Posted April 19, 2002 Yeah, they just cool in every imaginable context...
