Crazy_dog no.3
Heck we may as well have a civ for every planet or race in the galaxy. See my point?
Kal Of Corellia
I'm still going to have to go with the Corellians of course and the Mon Cals. I don't think every planet should get a civ just the cool ones like Bothaui and Corellia. And to adress the thing about how Corellia is part of the Rebuplic I was thinking more of when they were either fighting the Rebuplic or like a campain about Senator Garm Bel Iblis or Hal Horn or Corran or somethin like that. CorranHorn328
That would be cool, Kal. Like Garm escaping from Yavin IV and establishing the Eagle's Nest, or some CorSec RPG missions.
Crazy_dog no.3
So what SW worlds shouldn't be in there. Not Alderraan, they get destroyed way too early for any fun. Not Tatooine, for reasons obvios. Maybe Gammor would make a good civ.
DashRendar
Inanimate Object Civ, for sure. You know this most likely doesn't have much to do with the topic but I think if there is an underworld civ, their special unit should be the theif. It would be a totally unarmed unit with little armor, and about 50 HP. What it would do is go to Space Ports and can steal 1000 resources (it can be of one or a mix of 2-all 4). It should also have stealth (like that would do anything ), that would at least give you a reason to station Sentry Towers around your base. hannibalscipio
That's a good idea, Dash. Maybe not 1000 in resources, maybe like 4 or 5 hundred, I think. But that really would be cool. It could be called Underground Coruscant or something. Personally, the civ I wanna see and play the most is a creature civ. The units would take a long time to produce, and they would be really strong, depending on the unit. The creature civ could capture creatures from the map and use them. Mynocks could be the fighters, but they could only attack other aircraft. There could be wampas, Krayt Dragons, and everything else. Of course, everything would pretty much be a unique unit. I have a bounty hunter civ based on the same idea.
Crazy_dog no.3
Hey Dash that reminds me of the Spy in RA2/YR.
DashRendar
Well I wouldn't know what the heck you're talking about (GB and AoK be my only RPGs). Although I don't see why they'd call THAT a spy. more like a Theif. After all the resources you get come straigt from the enemy's stock piles. Rogue15
I'd like to seee........ Trandoshans as a civ. It would only be right since they have the Wookiees as a civ.
DashRendar
True but how many times do you see a Trandoshan in the Movies?
darthfergie
feh... I'd have: 1. Vong 2. Chiss 3. Black Sun 4. Ssi-Ruuk 5. Hapan All are either large powers, or are bigger than the Naboo or Gungans or Wookies (three "question mark" civs)
Kal Of Corellia
Hapes would be awsome they could have mylti fighters or however you spell them for fighters and a landed or non Hapan Battle Dragon.
hannibalscipio
I know. You'd get big bonuses to ore mining or something, since they're so rich, and their air power would be awesome. They're unique unit could be a trooper with one of those stunner guns of their's that makes whoever you shoot do what you tell them to. That's a GREAT idea. TheMightyJim2k
Sorry i havent posted on my own thread for awhile guys but finals at Duke are killing me. I cant catch a break between physics and poli-sci so i have been checking the chat when i can but not posting. I was wondering if someones could describe the hapes a little more, I dont think i have heard of them before. But now the real reason i am making this post, So we have listed all of these civs, we would love to see them made but listening to the way mr. gaber answers the questions it seems unlikely that a second expansion pack will be made. if that is the case what chance do you think exists that these civs could, and if they could, will be made by mod-makers? AND you could talk a mod-maker into making one civ, what would you tell him to make, and what advice you give him about how to go about making it. (I know making an entire civ out of mods seems extremely unlikely, but i know that complicated tasks like that have been accomplished before. And once again this entire thread is to bring up debate, so any alternate views on mod-making or its possibilities are entirely welcome)
Crazy_dog no.3
U would have to ask for LA's permission first.
TheMightyJim2k
Dont you think they would be fairly open to outsiders making entire new civilizations, as it prolong the life of the game without costing them any money? Look at the halflife mod community, it has made that a game that you can buy and play 40 different ways. There is more value in a half life cd then in just about any other game on the market, besides the terrific single and multiplay elements, it has the best mods and the best multiplayer for free that wasnt even a part of the original game, team fortress classic. If modders would make similar improvements on GB, maybe its lifetime would be more than a few years, and maybe lucas would publish more expansion packs (half life has two expansions, plus the counterstrike and TFClassic releases, and the bundle that has all of the afore mentioned). just a thought. Crazy_dog no.3
Well OK they let JK 2 users create mods.
