AgentSmith
Starwars.com has in its most recent image attack posted a picture of the blue Twi'lek aide of the Twi'lek Senator Orn Free Taa. This can definately put to rest any rumors that the Twi'lek seen briefly in the scene in Chancellor Palpatine's offices was Jedi Knight Aayla Secura. It's clearly another Twi'lek, and has now been confirmed to be this Twi'lek named 'Pampy'. Cool outfit though, but I especially think the make-up and detailing on the arms is excellent. leXX
I agree, very cool outfit indeed. Very nice makeup. I like the silver theme a great deal. It's a shame there arn't more Twi'lek's featured in SW. I hope a Twi'lek (Aayla or any other Twi'lek) plays a bigger part in ep3.
AgentSmith
Yes, the silver headpiece is very nice too. (A more traditional one for Twi'leks.) The make-up on the forearms is grand though, it really looks textured like skin with different shades, graded coloring. I do hope that indeed Aayla Secura (and other Twi'leks) have significant parts in Episode III. One can hope!
AgentSmith
Some of you may have read about this already, thought I'd still put it up here anway. It looks like "Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast" will have a sequel, though this time not with rogue Jedi/mercenary Kyle Katarn in the lead part but with one (or several) of Kyle's Jedi students, one which is a Twi'lek! The German magazine "Gamestar" featured this cover for its article on Jedi Knight III and -one of- its main characters: My prayers have been answered! Jediknightii.net featured these screenshots: (Looks like one might be able to even select a blue Twi'lek! ) I sure hope they do make JKIII with this Twi'lek character and all those options! That'd be the best! (Yeah, so I like Twi'leks ... you may have noticed. )
Hannibal
This game will probably be good because of all the things they learned after and while making the first one. Also looking at what mods the community created.
AgentSmith
It's official, the 'sequel' to " Star Wars Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast" will be called "Jedi Knight Jedi Academy". You can visit their website at Lucasarts here. The player will be a student at Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy. I quote: "Players can create their own characters by defining various characteristics, such as species, gender, clothing and physical attributes allowing for a more personal experience before entering the academy to learn the powers - and dangers - of the Force." I know I'll create a blue Twi'lek Jedi!
AgentSmith
The2ndQuest from theforce.net Jedi Council boards made some great screenshots of Aayla in Episode II: (Hadn't noticed Aayla in this shot yet, when the Republic Gunships land. It's quite small, hence.) (Credit goes to The2ndQuest for these.)
AgentSmith
Amy Allen (who portrayed Aayla Secura in Episode II) has an updated con schedule at her website at World Famous Comics. This is the current agenda (List is tentative and subject to change.): - April 19-20, Imperial Quarter Master - April 25-27, Pittsburgh Comicon - May 1-7, Store touring in Japan - May 10-11, Autographica - May 16-18, Motor City Con
leXX
Those are some great screencaps. I certainly didn't notice her in that top scene either. Well spotted by The2ndQuest. He has a good eye. lol, I was gonna say I bet your looking forward to JKJA because of the playable blue Twi'lek factor. I know I'll be joining you as a Twi'lek, although, I havn't decided what colour I'm gonna be yet. The replayability factor is great though. The amount of different characters you will be able to play as will probably keep me playing the game for years to come.
AgentSmith
LeXX, indeed, looks like they will take all the great elements from JKIIJO, add as standard and stable features all the great mods and ideas introduced in the fanbase custom mods and then some! (Approaching "Galaxies" and "Knights of the Old Republic" with all those RPG-like options.) I for one look forward to it!
AgentSmith
JediNet.com had this great article on Amy Allen featuring in April's issue of the Japanese 'Dengeki Hobby' Magazine. I quote: "It seems that even Japanese collectors are impressed by Amy Allen's beauty, and if that's not the case they must be impressed by her new Aayla Secura figure from Hasbro. Either way, the latest issue of Dengeki Hobby (April 2003) features Allen amongst a two-page spread of Star Wars toys in it's 33rd US Toy Frenzy article by Takuya Kubo." AgentSmith
Dark Horse has posted the cover art and 'teaser' synopsis for the upcoming "Star Wars: Jedi - Aayla Secura" issue, story by John Ostrander and art by Jan Duursema. (Estimated release date July 16.) (Cover art also by Jan Duursema, color by Joe Wayne.) I quote Dark Horse: "A Double-Sized Clone Wars Special! Beautiful twi'lek Jedi Aayla Secura goes undercover to ferret out a Separatist enclave. But when her cover is blown, Aayla finds herself going up against famed bounty hunter (and infamous Jedi killer) Aurra Sing! This is the battle that Star Wars fans have been begging for, by the creative team that was born to bring it to them!"
leXX
Whoa, that is one beautiful piece of artwork! Instant avatar. I can't thank you enough for these updates Smith. Aayla vs Aurra eh? Well that is gonna one hell of a fight, I can't wait to get my hands on that comic, and Aayla finally get's a comic title all to herself, about time. It probably won't be available to buy over here for ages yet though. I have 'Twilight' and 'Darkness' (which were excellent), but I'm having difficultly in getting 'Stark Hyperspace War' and 'Rite of Passage'. I will keep searching and get them eventually. edit/ I just found out that http://www.TFAW.com ship abroad. It's gonna be costly, but worth it I think. AgentSmith
Darn leXX, you beat me to it! Allow me to rip of... erm borrow and save that excellent avatar there. You should be able to get it shortly after it's released in July, there's several UK comic shops that have the Star Wars titles. (I think.) I've purchased from tfaw.com in the past and still do so for issues that the comic shop here doesn't have -anymore-, tfaw's prices are good, shipping can be cheap but then it does take a whole while (watch out for custom fines too) so I usually buy from them when I need a whole stack of comics. But I've had good experience with them. (Once, they even reshipped a parcel at no extra cost that had been returned to them by postal services by mistake.) I've still seen some "Rite of Passage" loose issues in my comic shop. You should also get "Republic #49 Sacrifice", it has great artwork by Jan Duursema and Aayla looks stunning in it. leXX
Yep, I've ordered them all: Stark Hyperspace War 1-4 Rite of Passage 1-4 Republic #49 Sacrifice Jedi - Aayla Secura (pre-order) I've gone for the second cheapest delivery option ($13+), so they should be here in about 1 or 2 weeks, and then my collection will be complete. AgentSmith
Great that you ordered those leXX, you'll surely enjoy them a lot! ("The Stark Hyperspace War" doesn't feature Aayla that much and the artist is not Jan Duursema but it's worth it still, pretty good comic. You'll probably enjoy "Rite of Passage" a lot but mostly "Sacrifice" I think. The art and coloring there is breathtaking. ) Hope you get them soon. Wow! That's an awesome wallpaper leXX -clicks faster than his shadow to place it as desktop background -. Really very good and nicely done, I like it a lot. If you don't mind I'll post it on Jan Duursema's (the artist who made that drawing) thread at theforce.net boards, I'm sure she'll like it too. (And some other boards too ... this is a sublime wallpaper, love the blue/lightning background you worked into it.)
AgentSmith
Saw on eBay that there's already an auction for an Aayla Secura Wizards TGC Promo Card autographed by Amy Allen at the Las Vegas GAMA con. I do hope Amy will have some available still. I'd love to get one to add to my collection.
