iguelmay
YEAH! MAGIC!!! BEST GAME EVER! okay, i have a confession to make... i've been watching this Kids-anime on TV called YU-GI-OH and thats what's gotten me back into magic. (D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-DUEL!) you guys should check it out, it looks dumb at first, but then its really quite good (better than poke/digi/mon and all those other animes, not up to par with Kenshin, or Trigun though).... I built a BLUE/RED deck in grade 7 and I still have it now (going grade 11).... i had always loved the ability to piss people off with counter-spell (best card, ever.) and the ability to deal damage with no risk to yourself (lightning bolt, 2nd best card.)... the key to my strategy was keeping creatures off the field, then just countering anything they played, and burning them with my red half. Pedantic
What an utter waste of money. These so-called "card games" have no function--all you do is collect cards with different things written on them. If other people didn't want them, the only use they'd have is to fuel the bonfire.

Darkling19
i used to play magic a lot, allthough i just played it with some friends and we left out the nifty rules like manaburn, we didn't care if we didn't play the cards in the right sequence or if someone forgot their upkeep or whatever. anyways magic is nice but there's card games with way better and more balanced rules bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla... bla eh right, so i played magic. Magic is no more a waste of money than any other game. Think about it. if you bought JK II for about $60 (canadian) it doesn't give you 'anything' all you get it some fun. Thats exactly what magic is FUN. Learn how to play, and do away with the 'geeky' stereotype around it. If you have any friends that play with you, the game is really cool. don't knock it just cuz you don't know anything about it.

XERXES
yeah, the chaos orb...i have it:D i used to be cheap and make up a rule that if it landed on your deck..all those cards would die...and my friends believed it...
DemonKing
I used to play all the time up until I started full-time work a few years ago. Unfortunately the time it takes to construct decks and the difficulty of getting enough friends together to play means I can't do it any more. Also I have to admit I liked it when the cards were harder to get - you could play someone and see a card you had never seen before in every game. Now days each new set is on the net within hours of release. Also, a lot of the new cards were just reprints or minor variations on the old sets. If I ever have time, I would probably consider getting into it again. Cheers, DK
XERXES
i think it was awesome till all the new rules started coming out...all the original cards just kick ass...like alpha/beta...revised and arabian knights..all the oldies..were the best.
