The Cantina Six: Return of the Dead Guy

*As the battle outside waged, the New Republic commanders were nervous... not one of teh Crimson Star's weapons fired.

Then, the Anti-Matter cannon pulsed with energy, and blasted a capital ship to oblivion, the shock wave taking a chunk out of two near by cruisers. The superlasers began to erupt in an impressive display of precision targeting, taking out cruiser after cruiser. then silence. Turbo lasers began licking the fighters and the remaining cruisers.

Down in the shaft, the fighters began thier runs, only to find what started as a peaceful nav, to a fight for thier lives. Ion cannons spoke angerly, disabling many of the fighters. Flax's fighter's shields hold, and manages to get to the main reactor core. Suddenly, his ship is rocked with a tremendous force, lurching forward, than it stoped. He looked around, and saw a massive Ion cannon sitting in the "reactor". He'd been tricked.

The Ion cannon smashed down his shields with a single blast. Rather than falling, Flax's fighter is pulled towards the opposite end of the dummy "reactor", by an invisible yet powerful force... tractor beams. His fighter is rapidly drawn into a waiting hangar and smashed none to gently into the opposite end, knocking him unconscious. Imperial guards surrounded the fhighter, and forced the cockpit open, firing several stun bolts into the cockpit... They took no chances. The Jedi Binder stood waiting, and he was secured in.

*Starr backs away from the fight, and wrinkles his brow and shuts his eyes in a look of concentration. He puts forward his hands, and...

..suddenly the Reborn go flying, with a shocked-looking Reletha flying after them. Starr grabs Odin and Deac and points to a spot on the wall ahead in the hallway*

There! It's disguised with a hologram! It's the way to Cracken!

*Starr Force-speeds away---and sure enough, right through the wall. Deac and Odin follow---

And suddenly a huge durasteel door slams behind them. They can hear another close behind it, and another behind that, and several more behind those. The room fills with knockout gas. The ceiling opens....to reveal a gigantic ion cannon. An enormous bolt engulfs Deac and Odin and fills the room, and then all there is is blackness.*

((OOS: Disclaimer: This post has been written by both Cmdr. Cracken and me via Instant Messenger to keep the number of necessary replies down.))

*Cracken sits in his sanctum, in deep meditation. a cloacked figure walks into the room.*

Cracken: is it finished?

*The figure keeps his head bowed in reverence* Yes, Master. The illusions of the Reborn, Syrnl's daughter, and the Force-cloaked room were successful. Deac Starkiller and the one named Odin are now in our hands.

The figure lifts his head. It is the face of Starr Hailfire.*

Cracken: Good. you have done well, my young apprentice. *Cracken's chair swivles, and he now looks down upon his charge* you may rise. *Cracken gets up, and motions Starr to walks beside him* and what of the New Republic Government? have they answered our offer for surrendure?

Starr: No, my lord. They still refuse.

Cracken: I see. i must attend to that buisness myself. have the fleet jump to Coruscant. I will discuss the surendure with them... personally.

Starr: Yes, my lord. *he walks out of the room, and then returns a few minutes later* We are on our way.

Cracken: Good. *Cracken and Starr walk down several hall ways, and end up in a large command chamber. four figures can be seen floating in the far end of the large chamber, suspended in Jedi Binders.

((OOS note by Redwing: Think the thing Dooku had Obi-Wan suspended in in Episode Two on Geonosis. In this RPG, they're being called Jedi Binders, for lack of better term.))

A blue hue fills the room. Techs are feeding a small reptilian animal... a Ysalimari, one for each of the men in the prison Cracken built: Flax, Deac, and Odin. Three. The fourth Binder has no ysalamir for it. Termand Rwos floats unconscious inside it.*

Cracken: Well, gentlemen, i see your little adventure is at an end. May i introduce my apprentice, Starr Hailfire.

Starr: *smiles wickedly* I can't believe you took it seriously when I 'destroyed' the 'Sith apprentice' that had somehow magicked its way onto your ship. You should have suspected many times, but especially then. I thought my act was rather transparent, myself. Oh well, too late for you now...pity. If you hadn't listened to me, then none of you would be here, and you might have still had a chance.

Cracken: by now you have realized you cannot destroy this station, as teh anti-matter would be enough to annihilate... well, you do the math. especially.. when we're in the very heart of the galaxy... *Cracken waves his hand, and a large viewscreen flickers on. Coruscant*

Cracken: i doubt you will try any heroics now.

((OOS: If anyone paid attention to the prophecy in the Cantina 5...this was foretold :D))

Coming back to consciousness Odin stares viscously at Starr. Unknow to the others in the party, Odin carries an implanted beacon, designed to go off in case he ever became unconsioucs.

*on the world of Asgard*

Einherjar comm officer: Inform the councel that something has happened to Lord Odin.

Einherjar soldier:As commanded.

Later during the council sesion.

Vidar(standing in for Odin):It is agreed then, we go to war. We either retrive Lord Odin, or die with him and the rest of the galaxy.

*back to Odin and the others*

Einherjar left to guard the ship, begin to get blood thristy. When the beacon goes off, they decide to fulfill their desire to kill the enemy. Moving stealthly down the corradors they come upon a group of reborns talking about the captives and where they were kept. After the reborn finished their conversation the Einherjar pounced.

Each taking their own Reborn by surpise, the Einherjar disguise themselves as Reborn, and move to the location of Odin, leaving hte four enemy soldiers in the corrador with their throats slit.

Wandering into the prison chambers, now occupied only by Starr, the Einherjar take flanking positions. Pulling out never before seen weapons, the Einherjar shoot Starr in the back. He collapses in a momentarily stunned.

Rushing to Odin's side, the Einherjar tech officer, searches for a way to release Odin from his bindings. Getting frustrated, the tech officer takes his sword and destroyes the consoles. The act turning off the Jedi Binders. Releasing a now very angry man.

((OOS: @Admiral:There are no Reborn. It was all an illusion, there to give something to slow you down and give Starr an excuse for not being able to find Cracken immediately

Plus if you actually broke free (yet) Cracken could easily destroy Coruscant. I hope Vidar didn't mean that part about dying with him and the rest of the galaxy :D;)))

*An enraged Odin rushes at full speed...straight towards the Einherjar. He swings his sword and stabs the Einherjar next to him, and then stabs the next nearest Einherjar before they have time to react. Force lightning comes out of nowhere and knocks the other two Einherjar unconscious as they try to reconcile their Master's transformation.

The illusion dispells as the Einherjar fall. The command chamber appears to expand in size, revealing consoles still intact and Binders also intact on the other side of the room. Starr Hailfire, breathing hard, stands over them as they fall into unconsciousness.

Starr: Now that's done. *to the guards that fill the room* That should have killed them...would have killed them...but these "Einherjar" seem to be as tough as Odin described them. Take their weapons, strip them, and put them in the cellblock suspended in vacuum. If they manage to escape again they'll simply die.

*turns towards the captives, still in the Jedi Binders* NOW do you see that it is HOPELESS? Fools! Nothing will stop my master from taking control of the galaxy. And if any of you try anything, Coruscant will be destroyed! *Starr strides out angrily*

*Rwos stirs, showing his first signs of life. His binder is suspended above the other three. He looks down at Odin and the others below him*

Odin...Flax...Deac? All of you? No...

((OOS: No, Starr doesn't know about the beacon; small oversight...

*waits for Deac and Battledog to reply with their reactions*))

*Cracken is seen simling with glee*

Calm youself, young apprentice. They shall get thiers...

*Notices Flax stirring*

Well, i think one of our esteemed guests is waking up.

*looks at Deac*

How does it feel? hmm? to have that mangled thing you call a body? a pity. i could have given you a new one, you know. but alas, your fate has been chosen. Like Vader, you are more machine than man.

*His comlink chirps* Ah, well, i must be off. I must give your governemnt credit. They refused every offer. now, i think i have an offer that cannot refuse.

*To Starr* "Entertain" our guests. *Points to Flax* Him first.

*Starr gives a bow, and Cracken walks out. He strides down the hall way, and after a bit, he enters a hanger bay. His shuttle, prepped and waiting, and his escort entourage. He boards, and several decoys leave the station, all with the same markings and escorts. The make for Coruscant*

((@Redwing, make them Stormies then, point is Odin's Bodyguards found out where he was.

Also as far as the Aesir are concered, the New Republic is not worth their time. They enbrace death, and believe it is better to die then live among evil. If their actions to take out the galaxy then it makes no difference to them.

The Einherjar, are now extermly pissed at Starr. Further more, part of their training, allows them to see an illusionist after an illusion is cast. In other words anyother Illusion Starr makes for this group will not work. This is due to a very disaterous part of the Aesir's history with a master illusionist))

The two very disgruntled, yet unwounded Einherjar sit bounded at the feet of Odin. Feeling that the have been disgraced in front of their Lord, they wish for death. However for now they sastify themselves with the knowledge that their other two free comrades are alive, and will come to their assistance soon.

The two Einherjar that Starr stabbed in his attack are left for dead on the floor. Slowly their wounds heal as they direct the force inwards. Remaining perfectly motionless until their Lord Summons them so they may fight and die in glory.

(I disregarded that part since you placed the two that in a vaccum cell, if you could explain that, since I don't want them dead at the moment. To the best of my knowledge a vaccum lacks air, and next time pm me so as not to take up room.... Also why Odin has yet to do anything yet, so they may respond.)

Katani paused his flight into the system for a moment, and sized up the veritable armada that was arrayed before him. There were ships of all makes and sizes, from fighters to frieghters, he was sure he even noticed an Assualt Frigate in there. No matter, they'd all be doomed soon anyway. Naturally though, he was curious as to how he knew that someone would be coming. So, as any truly curious person would, he simply asked.

The name of the Assault Frigate, which Katani merely assumed would be the flagship of the fleet, went by the name of Happenstance. Although of a slightly older model, it was still a match for any ship of the same size in any fleet anywhere in the Galaxy. It's Captain called himself Otpio, he was born and bred on Belkadan, so he had a particular attachment to the place. Needless to say, he didn't want to see it destroyed.

So, when he was being hailed by this strange craft called the Conqueror, that had just entered the system, he was intrigued. So, of course, he responded.

"Happenstance here, how can I help you?"

"Hello, Captain. My name is Katani Chass. I'm here to destroy you."

"Yes, I knew you'd be coming. The prophecy has foretold it. The prophecy is fulfilled."

"A prophecy..."

This revelation shook Katani to his roots. He couldn't believe that someone had the balls to actually predict his future. On the other hand, his interest was piqued.

"Go on."

"Here, I can't explain it. I'll just read it to you.

One day shall come a great man's son

Who strives to rule o'er everyone

He shall place himself inside a Star

His Empire shall stretch both near and far

One day shall appear a Conqueror Without Equal

His insanity is the death knell for many people

Billions shall die because of his rage

A Belkadanaian Armada he must engage

United, together you all must stand

Though you'll be crushed by the pow'r of his hand

If you fight side by side

History shall remember how hard you tried

To the heart of the Rebel he shall send himself

Though it's citizens be be placed upon a shelf

Outside of his reach, though he tries hard

His destiny is to battle the star."

Now Katani was completely outraged. Someone actually thought they could prophesey what he would do. This was just too much. And insane! How could anyone think he was insane. Sure, he'd destroyed a few billion people and all, but when you think about it, is that really insane? He didn't think so. Anyway, this was just too much for him. Accusations, predictions, his mind was in turmoil. So, he did the only thing he knew to do. He killed.

The entire, ammassed fleet over Belkadan took all of twenty minutes to immolate. Katani was liberal with his Nuclear shells, and the ships were destroyed with ease, leaving but a few pieces of debris to mark their passing. A bit sad, if you think about it.

The only thing that seemed odd about this attack on the system though, is that Katani didn't finish it. When he looked down at the world, he couldn't bring himself to destroy it. He didn't know why, he just couldn't. So, he returned to the Sanity's Requiem, where the Captain simply couldn't stop buzzing with compliments about how incredible that had been. Katani wanted to buzz about a foot off of the top of his head. Finally, Katani made up his mind about where he needed to go. He had warned the Universe that he could cause damage. Now, he would cut out the heart. Coruscant. He would become a god.

*To Cracken* I'd rather be a Gamorean Dung Bug than side with a scum-sucking fascist like you. You can command obiedince, but I have one thing you'll never have-respect. I have a house army dying for me-do you think any of your troops would work for free.

And as for you, Starr, I can't say I'm really surprised. I've been around Syrnl long enough to know your stench. Something was wrong with you from the start, and that's why I hardly talked to you.

And if you destroy Coruscant, Cracken, what of your father's relics? Is he really your father? I'd have thought he could afford contraception. Clearly not. Besides, if you destroy Coruscant...

*Deac clicks his head to reveal his proverbial ace, the synthflesh on his chest pulls back to reveal the circuitry. Imbedded in it is a control panel, and a symbol meaning anti-matter*

Deac goes out in a blaze of glory. And you go too. Pathetic body, huh?

((OOS: Cracken left for Coruscant already, but I'll assume the Binders were rotated the wrong way at that time ;)))

Starr: *incredulously* Are you people always like this? *walking around the Binders to keep facing the rotating captives, saber ignited* Can't you see that you are beaten?

Rwos: You're a fool, Hailfire...all of your kind are.

*Rwos mentally searches for the controls to the Binders on the far side of the room as he rotates. Unfortunately, he isn't familiar with the technology being used, so he comes up empty*

Starr: *looks up at Rwos* Aha, the fourth member of the party...I bet you're impressed with your friends' gullibity? Or with your own, for that matter? Did you really believe Starkiller was dead, or you could defeat my Master?

*Rwos doesn't answer*

*On Coruscant, Cracken is in talks with the New Republic governement.. Things are... interesting.... *

Cracken: Gentlemen and ladies, please, you have daily burrecratic wars in takes MONTHS for anything important to be really decided. it's inefficiant, as it is... rather.... hurting to the people you represent!

Supreme Chancellor: It's what the people wish!!

Cracken: no, it''s what the people TORE from my father. rather violently, might i add. There were not talks, so political envo..

Supreme Chancellor: beccause he wouldn't allow it!

Cracken: Be cause he had the right idea.... *sigh*... let me put it this way.... *takes out a small device* see this? this controls the magnetic shielding in the Crimson Star, over head in orbit. I shut these down, and it's only 5 minutes before the anti-matter goes through the quantum armor. how many people can you get off the planet? in fact, the system? hmm? not many, i'd assume.

*The councle in in silence. they ponder the new threat*

All i ask is that conrtol be once again place in an imperial state. My father was an idiot, i think we all know that, but i learned from his petty and stupid mistakes.

*cracken places a document on the table*

I bleieve i need your signatures.

*One by one, they come, and sign. after 5 minutes, the treaty is legal. Cracken was now Emperor*

good. now, you may all stay here. there shall be no exiling, no executions. no quartering or house arrests. all i ask is a peaceful tansfer takes place.

*they all nod, and leave. The Palpatine line is once again at the throne. Cracken smiles. He places his self destruct detonates in his cloak, and places a small holoprojector ion te table. The signal goes t the capture room. Deac, and his 3 comrades see him. Star kneels*

Well, my friends, it is done. I am the ruler of te galaxy. I could give you all very nice jobs in my new regime, if you wish... a final offer, if you would. but,i doubt you will tke the offer. a pity. so foolish. the galaxy is changing, can't you see that? these... representitives will not be killed. they are my liasons to the people of the galaxy, unlike my father's rigime..

*he frowns in thought*

...... anyway, i offer you one last chance, join me.

STOP!

OSS: Crackan: Read my last post again. I suspected a trap, I had the entire fleet jump out, most damage you could do is destroy elevan fighters. Which you didn't, Red Nine is Olin Garn, so he got away. Since the squad is all elite I'll give you 5 stops, with 6 getting away. The fleet is safe.

*Flax awakens*

Flax: Ah, so the prodical scum succer is revealed.

*Flax passes though the binder as though it was water, he smiles, and dissapears.*

((OOS: @Flax: Cracken's attack occured about a half a minute after you gave the order for retreat. The fleet couldn't have jumped out in that time, especially since the Crimson Star is large enough to produce a small gravity well. But Cracken's post indicates that he did not destroy all the fleet:

"Then, the Anti-Matter cannon pulsed with energy, and blasted a capital ship to oblivion, the shock wave taking a chunk out of two near by cruisers. The superlasers began to erupt in an impressive display of precision targeting, taking out cruiser after cruiser. then silence. Turbo lasers began licking the fighters and the remaining cruisers."

presumably as they made their escape. Note: This is way too far after Endor for the New Republic fleet to be the same as the one seen in Return of the Jedi, so do not limit your fleet to theirs....it sucked anyway! ;)

Oh and note that the Crimson Star's shields are not down any longer. I noted before that they can only go down in sections, that there are multiple reactors (without convenient shafts to go down), the superlasers can fire multiple times once charged up, and the antimatter cannon does not take a day to recharge. If you people would read over other's posts, you'd notice these kind of inconsistencies between reality and what people's characters (*cough*Starr*cough*) say :p

Battledog: Can you explain how you passed through the Binder like it was water, especially with no access to the Force (you were surrounded by ysalamiri, remember?)

Oh, and Deac: Re-check the continuity outline topic I posted. ^_^))

Starr: *prodding Rwos* Don't you remember? Don't you?

Rwos: *rotating* Remember what?

Starr: The prophecy. What your 'informat' told you.

Rwos: What about it?

Starr: The shadow and darkness falling over Tatooine on its path to the heart of the galaxy. He even gave you the coordinates to the very cantina in which I met Deac Starkiller.

Rwos: *neutrally* You must feel very proud of yourself.

Starr: Don't you get it yet? The beauty of it? I was the shadow, the shadow of the darkness that is my Master. And already we are in the heart of the galaxy, and you are all too late to stop us.

*Deac speaks up, clicking his head* Cracken-I have an offer for you. Take this thing out of the system--Or everybody dies. Simple as that. You have 2 minutes.

*Flax awakens*

Flax: Ah, so the prodical scum succer is revealed.

((OOS: Battledog, in your next post please explain your next action :p))

I'm sorry guys, I have a habit of underwriting my posts.

A jump takes seconds, especially since all I did was have the Def.II target the 'Star with her main guns. I knew the fleet wouldn't stand a chance against the 'Star, so I had the Defiance open the shield and sent my fighter though.

The Cap ships were lined up on an escape vector as they jumped in, so the whole fleet got away.

I'm sorry I forgot to put in *The Fleet jumps*

You destroy the Star, you destroy all the billions of people down on Coruscant. You will be blamed for the death of billions, and your name will be forever washed away into history as shame and horror. Your house will be banished, and dishonor brought to your people. ((OOS: @Battledog: Since you didn't say the fleet jumped out, we have to assume that a few cruisers got destroyed before they could escape the Crimson Star's gravity well. Oh, and you forgot about the ysalamiri. However, I can explain that away, so I will. ;)))

*As Starr was questioning him, Rwos had silently activated his (non-Force-based) telekinetic powers and slowly moved the nearest ysalamiri---the one on Flax' cage---safely away. When Flax suddenly passed through the Binder, he'd know the act had had been successful*

Starr: Wh...where did he go?

Deac: *rotated the wrong direction to see* 1 minute 50 seconds, don't think I'm bluffing!

*the timer reaches 1 minute when suddenly Flax, Rwos, and Odin fall from their Binders, and a technician appears seemingly out of nowhere. Whatever Flax had done, it had worked.*

Starr: What in the Force!? *ignites his crimson saber*

*Rwos grabs Starr's throat before he could get out of the ysalamiri's field of effect and smashes him into Deac's binder, knocking Deac down and Starr out of consciousness. He pulls his lightsword towards him from a storage bin at the end of the room, destroying the comlink, and holds back the others* Stay near the ysalamiri!
