Ferox
i grew up with star wars, had most all the toys.. but i was never as big a fan as i have become since i saw AOTC. to me there was something missing in the films, previous to AOTC my favorite one was ESB ... which to me truely conveyed the grand epic Star wars really is. massive ground combat etc. and now AOTC comes out, gives us ton of backstory and makes connections to the rest of the story that you never would of thought( like darth vader knowing the people who raised luke, obi wan knowing boba fett etc.) the battle ruled, much better then ep 1 battle with a million jar jars and half stupid robots runnin around. and seeing all the jedi together has to be the coolest thing in any of the movies. perhaps, since i am not such a big fan in that i dont know every fact or read all the EU books and thats why i love the movie when so many others dont.. NemoX
You are not alone in your sentiment, AOTC is also my Favourite SW film.
leXX
Absolutely totally agree. I have always loved Star Wars but it was AOTC that did it for me. I always thought there was something missing and AOTC filled that gap. The film inspired me to buy JKII Jedi Outcast and that is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Rassick
The opposite is true for me. I played JK2 beforehand, and the dozens of Jedi fighting at once only whetted my appetite for AOTC's stupidly brief arena battle.
Zindell
As much as I enjoyed AOTC I liked the older movies for what they were. Some days I wish he just left the trilogy the way it was and didn't try to do these prequels. I think I will always favor the OT movies no matter what. But If I look at AOTC now, It is definatly the best movie for the New Trilogy.
MotionMan
I loved AOTC. I always wanted to see how REAL jedis acted back in the day. Not like goofy Luke. I love the OT but its nice to see how Jedis actually acted and fought.
Jedi_Monk
I just got back from seeing AotC for the fourth time! Yes... I'm way behind... I had wanted to see it at least seven times by now... I'm playing catch-up! But it was at the smallest theater at the place I went to! I have to hurry before it leaves the theaters! Yes, my favorite Star Wars movie always shifted between Empire and Jedi... now it's firmly Attack of the Clones Such an incredible visionary, Lucas is! Bring on the Clones! Rassick
I just wish the arena battle with the Jedi was longer!
ET Warrior
I am currently tied with ESB and AOTC as my favorites....i love them both.......i have seen AOTC 8 times..but i live in a small town so it is now gone from my theater.... But it's coming back to the drive in next month and i will surely see it there at least once or twice
Ferox
hehe ive only seen it twice myself... but its the first movie in a long time that has made me want to actually see it again. and btw jango doesnt bump his head rofl.. i made a mental list of all the stuff people pointed out to see if i saw it in the movie, jango doesnt bump his head, but ducks real quick. and the one jedi does do the DFA heheh. Weapon X
your town still has a drive in ET Warrior?? i LOVED going to drive in movies (i'm only 16 but i can remember Jurassic Park and Arachnaphobia in the drive in) oh i WISH they would bring that idea back instead of this dumbass "sit in this uncomfortable seat for 2 hours and give us $5 plus $2.50 for a candy bar that we make a $2 profit on!" instead of "$5 bucks for each person, bring your own seat (in other words your car for those who are completely clueless) and you can easily hide snacks in your car but your on the honor system" i loved the drive in theater
Lime-Light
ESB is the best, hands down.
Darklighter
I really did think that AOTC was brilliant. I came out of the cinema thinking 'there's nothing more they could have done to that - it was complete'. But My vote still goes with ESB, as an avid Star Wars fan I know the best from the rest. Still, that's just my opinion...

Actually, he did bump his head, they had a sound effect and everything......and it said so on starwars.com....."It appears that Fett Genes and low ceilings don't mix. In homage to a classic blooper in ANH, where a stormtrooper runs into a low door, Jango Fett hits his head on the closing door of his ship Slave I" Edit - And yes, we still have a drive-in.....it costs 6 dollars per person, or on sundays they charge 10 dollars for a carload.....so if you pack 10 people into a car it'll cost you 1 dollar
Weapon X
in wyoming, everywhere, you can go see a movie for $5 maybe less, but they got rid of all the drive-ins i've EVER known about years ago (1993-1994) maybe i've just been around star wars too long (first toys i ever really knew were the ewok village, darth vader, and jabba) but you can tie in movie theaters with the jedi, the drive-ins (jedi/rebels) are gonna be extinct soon, and indoor (the imperials) are taking over, i just hope it ends up like star wars (jedi & rebels CRUSH the imperials)
AgentSmith
The largest theatre complex in my country (Belgium) is just 25 minutes away from where I live and they have a genuine Digital (DLP) projection of Epsiode II for only 6$! Btw Episode II still ranks number 1 at the box office here. I think next weekend I'm going to go see it again. It's really worth it seeing it digitally, the image quality is just so awesome, especially during hectic scenes like the arena battle. You can really focus and discern things on the background if you want to. (I saw Blade II in a normal projection and thought it's a great movie you can really see and feel the difference between a classic projection and a digital one. Digital is really much better. It's like watching a supersharp DVD on a giant screen. )
Clone142
Personally, I'd like to see more prequels. Like 4,000 years before Episode 1, when Jedi and Sith where plentiful and fighting over supremacy of the Old Republic and ultimately the galaxy. Lucas could provide the basic story and let young, talented script writers and directors have a go at the movies.
Ferox
clone, i bet we will see this stuff. but not when lucas is alive. when he is dead the EU will come more into play, like it or not.
MotionMan
It will be a dark day when Lucas dies and the EU guys take over. We will see a new star wars flick every year. Plus all the cooky stuff will be considered cannon. There would be an invincible Bobba who just cant seem to die. They will bring every charecter back from the dead via the clone theory. Ex clone emperor. In fact every charecter would have a clone.(There is an EU story were Obi wans clone is evil). Although I do want to see new movies after ROTJ or Movies about the Old republic, I wouldnt want some of the EU stuff being made cannon.
ET Warrior
The day George Lucas Dies will be the saddest day of my life.....i will cry for weeks! And if some of those EU stories become movies and are made canon.....i will shoot somebody......i mean, i love the EU stories....but they should be kept apart from the movies..........*urk*
Jedi_Monk
I've heard that Lucas is prohibiting anymore live action Star Wars films from being made after he's done. However, I've heard that he might concider licensing completely CG SW movies... and maybe a SW TV series or TV movies wouldn't be out of the question. Either way, the movies stay the solid canon, while everything else is myth and hearsay
Irishman26
i'm sorry 2 say but AOTC is my 2nd favorite, nothing can beat ROTJ which had the best star wars story and showed us how a person with so much hate could let it go.

Lime-Light
yeah, RoTJ would be the best if they had not, "dared to be cute" as Lucas said. Good job there george.
