Robbiesan Posted June 28, 2002 Posted June 28, 2002 What we need isn't all that far away.. the idea of extra screens for a peripheral vision is great but who wants to buy three monitors and a special card sucks.. there's new displays in the works that will probably become production over the next 5 years tops.. the technology is seen in Amdromeda.. they have thin plastic sheets that play video, show pics etc.. once this technology becomes 'perfected' CRTs and LCDs will most likely disappear, maybe not right away, but eventually.. with something like that we can have a screen that wraps around our peripheral vision..

If you like and/or appreciate gaming at all, for your own sake, don't get an LCD!!! They suck. The only thing they're good for is saving space on your desk.
