I'm going to wait on WIII, I'm not sure how good it will be, yet, and to be honest other than that, my next game that I'm planning on getting is Deus Ex 2 (November!! Which will be an awesome month since I think it has the Ep2 DVD, ST: Nemesis, and the 10th Wheel of Time book, which should be awesome given how 9 ended :D)

Yeah WC3 looks cool, but I dont think its going to be much of a change for RTS games. But I am a fan of the WC series so I think I will just DL it from somewhere. I am more looking forward to Age of Mythology. This game is worth a look if you are a RTS game fan.

You'll download it? As in Warez?Fine, then when someone asks for JKII warez, you cant say anything bad to them because you did it too.

Ok, well, first off I have never said anything to people who say they got JK2 through warez, friends, bought it, etc. I tend to stay away from those arguements, and yes I am a software engineer and know how it feels blah blah blah. (Note, I am not snapping back or flaming anyone, just stating my peace)

I usually purchase the games that I really enjoy or want the full version. Other games that I wish to just give a try or play for one week cause then it gets old I have no attention of paying for so I just DL from various sources. There have been many times where I really like a game that I DLed and then went out to purchase because I liked it so much I wanted the benefits of having the "real" full retail version of the game and its creators deserve the credit.

By the way, lets not turn this into a warez vs retail thread, we already have plenty of those already, so just search for one of them already and argue there.

Yeah basically. Just depends on the game sometimes. Many of the warezed files can't be updated and patched, unlesss you have the real thing or a 1:1 clone. If you like the game enough to patch it and work with it, just get the thing so you know you have absolutely everything uncorrupted and legal. :D Most of the other games just go to a stack of CD's with other archived software as soon as the newest of it wears off.

I completely agree, some games, like JK2, I buy straight out, because I know I'll love them. Others, like Starcraft, or GTA3, I DL, play, and buy if I like them. I love Starcraft so I got the real thing, I hated GTA3 so I threw away the CD and removed it from my comp. The people who made GTA3 didn't lose anything because I wouldn't have bought it anyway, and the people who made Starcraft gained something. I think it's a winning situation, and it would be great if everyone were that honest, some people, like my friend matt, have like 50 games and almost 500 movies that he stores. Anyway, I just wanted to throw in my support.

As for W3, I too am unsure, but I have a good friend who will certainly buy it, so I think I'll just check it out on his comp :)

I thought this topic was kinda related to the games of E3. I SO want Doom III! That game is gonna rock. I've been a Doomie since it came out when I was 6, just recently got back into it when I got the Doom Collection (1, 2, and Final.) I got the Legacy program which gives the original Doom's much better graphics and resolution.

Anyway, back to topic, I'm also looking forward to Deus Ex 2. The first one was awesome, and I used to obsess over it every day.

Don't know about Warcraft III, or World of Warcraft. WC was never my cup of tea. However, I wish Blizzard wouls stop over-enlarging the already huge WC franchise and make Starcraft II.

I also want Neverwinter Nights because I'm into Forgotten Realms and Dungeons & Dragons.

But most of all: Star Wars Galaxies. *heavenly choir*

It isn't wise to announce that you've downloaded a game from the net at this site; it's against the rules and is a bannable offense. You've been warned.

I bought NWN about a week ago, and I'm enjoying it thoroughly despite my lack of time to play it. It isn't the best RPG of all time as it was heralded, but excellent nonetheless. As for WC3, I'll be picking it up when I beat NWN or when it comes down in price (whichever comes first ;)).
