Redbeard
Hi everybody! Who know where to get the Font used for the Monkey Island logo as TrueType? What's it called? Thank You!
guybrush guy
i'm not sure what text you are talking about, if you are talking about the one from the Monkey Island 3 logo when the letters are on fire, then i dont think you can get those. the lettering for logo 1 and 2 from monkey island 1&2 are called adventure #### (there's a number at the end of them and i dont know what they are) i'm sure that there are other names for it. sorry, that's all i could help you with
Jake
As far as I know, the actual "Monkey Island" in the MI logo is hand drawn - a custom logo, not just a downloadable font. If you remember, that logo's been around since 1990, before most anyone had vector based fonts laying around, especially ones that would still be around (available to consumers?) today. However, the "LeChuck's Revenge" and "The Curse Of" type can be found online. I know the "The Curse Of" font is called "Weathered SF" and can be found online. Redbeard
If there is no Font, then we have to make one. Every stupid TV-Series has it's own Font, only the best computer game series ever hasn't?! That's so unfair! Who knows how to make TrueType Fonts?
mxbx
If you want to take the time to draw out every letter of the alphabet and at least some basic punctuation, go for it. Unfortunately, my hands are untied and I need to tie them up again.
scabb
It's not hard to find. Here ya go. http://grungefonts.8m.com/fonts/weatherd.zip
elTee
That site doesn't allow offsite linking. And thats not the Monkey Island font. It might look like the CMI / EMI font, but you can get that on one of the hosted MI sites on mojo.
scabb
Looks enough like the font, and I only posted it up because that was the font name Jake put forward. Oh, It's on this page: http://grungefonts.8m.com/font8.htm Watch out for the eViL pop-upz

mxbx
I honestly don't mind telling you: Yes! Forge ahead! Eventually, i'll be able to turn in my thesis entirely in LucasFonts! And who knows who I'll turn it in to?! Not me!! Because I've no intention of ever even writing a thesis! Not even a thesis sentence! I've given them up, and so too should you! Exclame!!! elTee
Here: http://www.high-logic.com/fcp.html I once tried to make a Monkey Island font with this, but it was a 30 day trial so it ran out before I finished. If you're making a website though, it might be worth buying. I bought some mobile phone ringtone software for LucasTones, and it came in very useful.
