Scummbuddy
Bill Watterson that is. The creator of Calvin and Hobbes will be celebrating his birthday today. He was born in 1958. On to LucasArts information, I was just in Disney World riding the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, when I noticed a couple more things that could show that Ron Gilbert was heavily inspired by that ride for Monkey Island. Although I don't personally believe in that theory that the first two games were a dream or more correctly a fantasy of a young child, that evidence is building. But hey, only Ron will tell. I'll send in some footage to Mixnmojo when my computer stops being stupid.
elTee
I've been on that ride 3 times. Its great! But only the third time did I know the Monkey Island connection. So I saw the Walt connection (the Dog, and the keys etc) - I even sent in a picture to the World of Monkey Island, but they didn't credit me: http://www.worldofmi.com/features/funny/know/pirates_of_the_caribbean.gif I have a 4Mb AVI I can upload if anyones interested, depicting scenes from the ride. manny_c444
I wish Bill Watterson would start writing comics again...I mean he's probably doing nothing now, he could release a new book every once in a while....
