Ronin{TRIAD} Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 The model is done. Its around 2500 polys. I have from the waist up segmented for the game, but I'm trying to figure out how I should segment from the waist down. Anyone have any ideas? As always comments, critism and flames are always welcome.
Jango_Fett91 Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 HOLY SMOKES!!!!!! EMAIL IT TO ME PLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!! bobafett6665@att.net AWSOME JOB DUDE!!!!
Lord Infamous Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 You finally converted it Ronin, YEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!! oh my god yes, you are the best! looks Great! i love your q3 model
BradFu Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 Looks very good! Don't know how to help on segmenting, but it definitely looks like an Jawa! (EDIT - Ewok? WTF? Time for me to sleep)
Deetox187 Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 uhhh looks like an Ewok?? lol anyways that Jawa looks mighty fine, can't wait for its release.
Drakewl Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 good work, but imho the texture is too symmetrical near the seam and some pleats aren't falling/curving right
Darth Vigrid Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 try making the bottom part of the robe the hips.
BradFu Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 Ewok? What was I smoking? Me work too long, me brain sleepy Oh well, they're both short SW aliens, close enough!
Eets Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 Looks like a Quake 3 model Could you make the head a little more distinguished from the rest of the body? It looks kind of like a cone coming from the shoulders. See how the bottom of this guy's hood is kind of rounded? That's what I'd like to see on the Jawa model. Other than that, this model's pretty much perfect! As for the segmenting, perhaps Kinja or someone on the yoda crew could help you with that, since they made a small alien. Also, would you possibly allow me to make a pre-release skin for the Jawa?
-honk- Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 Mayb because it is (was) one http://clantriad.brinkster.net/devteam/projects.asp?id=64
Eets Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 Ya know.. I was wondering why it looked so familiar
Lord Infamous Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 Ronin created the q3 one too it just needed to be converted to JO, im really glad he's workin' on it, it has great sounds and skins
Psyk0Sith Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 ...I'm trying to figure out how I should segment from the waist down. Anyone have any ideas? Split it at the waist (use the belt to hide the seam) but i'm sure you already did that. No need to split anything else down there. I guess you want to know about the legs caps...well, if you have a full mesh for the boots, put caps on top even if he doesnt have full legs. Take a look at mon mothma's glm, you'll see, tho im not sure she's got all the caps. cool model btw!
trowa500 Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 looks great can u bring any of ur gundams to jkii like gemini did?
Ronin{TRIAD} Posted August 12, 2002 Author Posted August 12, 2002 Unfortunately I wasn't able to work on the model this past weekend, as I was away. And yes, I did originally build this model for Quake 3. Psyk0Sith: For the leg caps, should I create the 2 caps for each leg and place them on top of each other? i.e. l_leg_cap_hips_off and hips_cap_l_leg_off or should I just have l_leg_cap_hips_off? If all goes well, this thing will be done this hopefully early this week.
Psyk0Sith Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 yep, i'd do both caps just to make sure it loads correctly, you can always remove the "hips_cap_l_leg_off" later and see if it still works. you create the l_leg_cap_hips_off detach it, and then do another cap, detach it and flip the faces. That way you know it will be in the correct position. good luck
Ronin{TRIAD} Posted August 12, 2002 Author Posted August 12, 2002 Here is the Jawa SDK http://209.123.121.33/files/ronin/jawasdk.zip
