ibballin
well imo i think nividia. i had an ati and it was horrible. (at least compared to my card now) also the new geforce 4 looks amazing and i havent seen an ati that can match up with that.

Darth Groovy
I have a Gateway a-Flex desktop with a celeron processor. What graphix card should I get? I've been told that If I want a graphics card I have to go through Gateway again. So help me god I will never have another Gateway, because they suck that bad. Deetox187
Right now the Radeon 9700 is the most poweful card so ATI is the best for the moment, but that won't last long with Nvidia around..

Deetox187
I don't see why not, i owned a Celeron once and was never required to use a specific brand of hardware. As long as you have an AGP slot it should work.

Deetox187
No its fairly easy, at least with AMD processors it is.. can't be too much different with a Celeron. But you have to know what other processors are supported by your motherboard before you buy a new one, i could be mistaken but i think Celerons use a different socket than other Intel chips. Nebelwerfer_
ATI is the best. nvidia is greedy, they put 3dfx outa business and left voodoo card owners high and dry when it comes to drivers. up yours nvidia:evil6:

Yeah, I had a voodoo 5 which had 64 mb way, way before any other card did. 3dfx were always setting the benchmark, I can't believe they were bought out. Oh well, I got a geforce 4 now. Tyrion
Originally posted by Lime-Light The best brand is: "stopaskingforhardwareadviceandgetanalienwaremachine*******" Lime-Light's back! Yay!!! BTW alienware machines are good, but they cost like twice than they should be. A awsome, awe inspiring, master computer costs about 1000 dollars if made by yourself. A geforce 4,1.2 ghz,60 gb, good speakers,if you go bargin hunting at fry's,cost about 1000 dollars.
Nebelwerfer_
Alienwares are the biggest rippoff, they are to expensive. Anyone with basic hardare knowlegde could build their own computer for half of what they charge, but for those not smart enough in hardware, go waste your money on an alienware. WolfmanNCSU
The new Radion cards are going to rock. I cant wait until they come out, mainly because they will bring the price of the geforce4 down and then I can pick up my TI 4600.
