While I don't know of many games that have ever been too scary. I can think of a few that can freak you out.

AvP as a human was really scary.

While the game as a whole really wasn't very scary, the level Illumination in Unreal freaks the heck out of you. You step out of a door to be faced by darkness . . . oh and those @!#(@$*# pupae, skinny little creatures that crawl on the ground and jump you. Drives me nuts.

I also thought resident evil was scary even after you cleared the room of return zombies. I mean that eerie music and the fact that you just limp around dragging your leg. *shudders*

Soul Reaver 2 is kind of spooky to a lesser extent what with Gothic backgrounds and Demons popping out of nowhere with lightning sound effects and a demonic force field to keep you in their grasps.

i didnt find soul reaver 2 to be scary in anyway. i think that those have the best story line of games ive everplayed

Isn't that an old game? I have Final Doom for Playstation, and that came out in like 96 or 97. I thought Doom was dead and replaced with Quake?! Oh well I would love a new Doom game, cuz I is a big Doom head!:D
