ibballin Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 well this is just to make some conversation so whats your favorite retro console?
mercatfat Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 Define Retro. If we're talking pre-crash Retro, I'd say Intellivision. 8-bit retro, NES, 16-bit retro, SNES, 32-bit retro, Saturn, modern retro, Dreamcast. Saturn only beats the PSone since the games are backwards compatable on PS2, and the import scene was so wonderful.
Boba Rhett Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 If it's covering all those I choose the Snes.
darthfergie Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 Genesis! (said the biased man who has a Genesis not SNES) Although currently I'm addicted to an SNES Ogre Battle ROM...now if only I could get a PTO II ROM:(
Taos Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 I'm gonna have to go with the SNES......all of the buttons on that new controller were just amazing .
Sherack Nhar Posted September 30, 2002 Posted September 30, 2002 I'm going with Fergie here; Genesis all the way. Sonic won me over a long time ago. The bitch.
Doodle Dude of Doom Posted October 20, 2002 Posted October 20, 2002 Snes, nes, c64? Aww I love all of them, but ok I go with Snes. Why? Well here the great games came up. I mean the reeeeeally great games. Look - Supder Mario World, Final Fantasy 6, Zelda 3, and so on. Wait, no i love all the 3 cosnoles. Sorry can't say wich I love most.
C Shutt Posted November 2, 2002 Posted November 2, 2002 The SNES was the greatest console of all time. And its lifespan coincided with that of the second greatest, the Sega Genesis. Damn that was a good generation of games.
LiMP RABBiT Posted November 2, 2002 Posted November 2, 2002 Hmm tricky. The first console i owned was the n64 (superb) and the original, biggest, fattest, greyest gameboy ever invented. The GB was great, some amazing Mario titles (my favourite being the one in which you search for 8 coins). I also loved the snes. My friend owned one and i played it almost every night. One brilliant game being Mortal Kombat.
scabb Posted November 13, 2002 Posted November 13, 2002 I never used to have a SNES until they became basically obsolete, but I still praise it as the greatest console of all time. Unless, of course, you count the Game Boy...
