i want my own message board, and i dont like proboards.com all that much...its not as customizable as i would like it to be, so i was wondering if any one knos any good free message board-making websites on the net.....cause i really dont like proboards much......

a good board i use and u defenatly know is phpbb board (like our lfja forum). only thing u need to do is this:

 

- download the phpbb forum installer

- get a webpage usin php, mysql (im usin lycos)

- upload the phpbb pack to ur website usin ftp

- change settings and u r done

thats all

im just makin a new 1 for the academy. a forum for us only.

maybe u can be a mod/admin if ur lucky.

I second the vote for phpbb. Its sleek, easy to use, and you can make really cool mods for it by messing with the source code.
