I love FF8:D...some of the gameplay elements could have been better put together (awful juntioning system)...but the story, characters, graphics, handling, replayability, life span...all spot on:)

I agree with Cal_da_Darth. FF7 was the greatest. The story line was intense and kept getting better and better. They really put alot of time into it. The graphics were not so great, but it's an old game and i don't think the graphics make the game any worse.

So FF7 all the way!

Thats why i think Sephiroth is the best ^_^

he's the most eviliest guy in any game that i have ever seen or herd or played. No one tops him.

i dont know about 1-6, Jango can always tell me about them ^_^

In 8: Edea was sorta cool, Seifer was a peeon (literially he was a follower) (i never finsihed the plot got boring, and the characters were too dependant on GF's and Magic (well squaresoft had to try at least one time to get it something balenced (like they finally did in 9, then 10, but then every character as long as you play it long enough, they can eventually end up the same (but hella powerful :evil2:))

9: Kuja, well he got pretty damn close to sephiroth, infact he did how ever get rid of Terra, but that planet never really mattered. :p

X: Seymour, well he sucked at being evil, honestly. He had a good idea, but he executed it horriby ^_^

Sin: Not bad, but not all that evil to beign with, he's more like a sick puppy with a bad attitude and a nasty overbite :p

as for other games:

Chrono Cross/Trigger: im not sure bout them but i herd they were both good, even the secound (trigger) the time travel idea in those wheren't too bad of a plot basis

Parasite Eve / P.E. II: Very nice game, both of em, nice plots and good bad guys. especally it was a great for RE (for competition proposes)

Kingdom Hearts: Ill tell ya after i buy it on Friday, and after 72 hours of non stop play ^_^ (i beat FFX in 78 hours with leveling, i give a thumbs up for squaresoft on that one, by adding the secret leveling location ^_^)

Lets go over the options

Final Fantasy: Very cheap looking (On the NES of course) And not that great of a storyline..

FF2-3: Haven't played

FF4: VERY VERY VERY VERY HARD! Cannot emphasize that enough. Also, kind of a grim storyline, not bad

FF5: Great Class system, my favorite of the ones I've listed so far.

FF6: A bit ovverated, but still fun, lots of cool features on the PSX version.

FF7: Played this for 3 days straight, good story, good system of stuff.. Poor translation (I.E "This guy are sick")

FF8: Not as bad as everyone says it is, can be frustrating at times.

FF9: I REALLY REALLY am fond of this one, I like the fact they went back to the 4 person system, and the storyline is enthralling, and the main character isn't a moody jackass!

FF10: Ovverated, I found myself playing Blitzball a LOT, thats the best part

So my vote goes to FF9

you know, without the origional, some of the newer ones would have never came out. besides, back in the days, it really wasn't cheap looking (now it does though).
